Rocky Lombardi
Rocky Lombardi (born July 30, 1998) is an American football quarterback for the Cincinnati Bengals of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football for the Michigan State Spartans and the Northern Illinois Huskies. Early life and high school Lombardi grew up in Clive, Iowa and attended Valley High School. He was rated a three-star recruit and committed to play college football at Michigan State over offers from Iowa, Iowa State, Northern Illinois, Virginia and Western Michigan. College career Michigan State Lombardi was redshirted during his true freshman year in 2017 and was named the Scout Team Offensive Player of the Week after his performance against Iowa. During the 2018 season, he played in eight games (seven playing as a quarterback and one as a punter) and started three of them at quarterback. Bob Lombardi
Robert Edward Lombardi (June 3, 1938 – May 28, 2021) was an American football coach and educator. He served as the head football coach at the University of Chicago for three seasons, from 1976 to 1978, compiling a record of 9–15. He is the grandfather of Northern Illinois quarterback Rocky Lombardi. Lombardi was born on June 3, 1938, in the South Side of Chicago. He attended Knox College in Galesburg, Illinois, where he met his wife, Melinda, the daughter of football coach and athletic director, Walter Hass. Lombardi began his career in 1961 at Homewood-Flossmoor High School in Flossmoor, Illinois, as a teach of economics and math and assistant football coach. Tony E. Lombardi (born January 29, 1962) is an American football coach. He served as the interim head football coach at Eastern Michigan University for one game in 1999. Lombardi is the father of Northern Illinois Huskies quarterback Rocky Lombardi. Playing career Lombardi attended Rich East High School in his hometown of Park Forest, Illinois, a southern suburb of Chicago, graduating in 1980. While in high school, he played tailback on the football team, which was coached by his father, Bob Lombardi. Lombardi played running back for the Arizona State University Sun Devils from 1980 through 1983, and was awarded a varsity letter for all four years of play. The 2024 UFL draft, also known as the 2024 UFL college draft, was the first meeting of United Football League (UFL) franchises to select newly eligible players ahead of the 2025 UFL season. It was the first rookie draft since the league formed from the merger of the United States Football League (USFL) and XFL.
