Roc Oliva
Roc Oliva Isern (born 18 July 1989), also known as "Metra", is a Spanish former field hockey player who played as a midfielder or forward for the Spanish national team. Oliva played most of his career for Atlètic Terrassa HC but from the 2018–19 season onwards he played for Real Club de Polo until his retirement in 2021. He also played for Amsterdam and HGC in the Dutch Hoofdklasse. His father Jordi and sister Georgina are also both Olympic hockey players. He played a total of 189 times for the Spanish national team from 2007 until 2021. International career Oliva was a member of the Spanish National Team that claimed the silver medal at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, PR China. He also competed at the 2012 and 2016 Olympics. After the 2016 Olympic Games, he did play for the national team for three years. In October 2019, he was brought back into the national team for the 2019 Men's FIH Olympic Qualifiers. Field Hockey At The 2020 Summer Olympics – Men's Tournament
The men's field hockey tournament at the 2020 Summer Olympics was the 24th edition of the field hockey event for men at the Summer Olympic Games. It was held from 24 July to 5 August 2021. All games were played at the Oi Hockey Stadium in Tokyo, Japan. It was originally scheduled to be held from 25 July to 6 August 2020, but on 24 March 2020, the Olympics were postponed to 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Because of this pandemic, the games were played behind closed doors. Argentina won the previous olympic field hockey event but were eliminated in the quarterfinals. Belgium captured their first gold medal after defeating Australia in the final after penalties. 2021 Men's EuroHockey Nations Championship
The 2021 Men's EuroHockey Championship was the 18th edition of the Men's EuroHockey Championship, the biennial international men's field hockey championship of Europe organised by the European Hockey Federation. The tournament was held alongside the women's tournament at the Wagener Stadium in Amstelveen, Netherlands and was originally scheduled to take place from 20 to 29 August 2021. However, following the postponement of the 2020 Summer Olympics to July and August 2021 because of the COVID-19 pandemic the tournament was rescheduled and took place from 4 to 13 June 2021. The top five teams qualified for the 2023 FIH Hockey World Cup. The hosts Netherlands won the tournament for the sixth time, beating Germany in a 4–1 penalty shoot out after a 2–2 tie. The 2019 Men's FIH Olympic Qualifiers was the final stage of the qualification for the men's field hockey event at the 2020 Summer Olympics. It was held in October and November 2019. Format In the first part of the qualification, the five continental champions automatically gained an Olympic berth, where they were joined by the hosts, Japan. Originally, twelve teams were to take part in the Olympic qualifying events.
