John Michael Hooker
John Michael Hooker (October 9, 1953 – March 25, 2003) was an American serial killer who killed his girlfriend and her mother in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma in 1988, after having served time for a manslaughter conviction as a teenager. For the latter crimes, Hooker was convicted, sentenced to death and executed in 2003. First killing On February 13, 1971, the 17-year-old Hooker was attending a party at the Hamilton Courts neighborhood when he got into an argument with one of the guests. In the resulting scuffle, he pulled out a gun and opened fire, killing 18-year-old Alta K. Lang and injuring two others, the 20-year-old host Claudia Boyce and 17-year-old Charles Edwards Nathenia. The state has executed the second largest number of convicts in the United States (after Texas) since re-legalization following ''Gregg v. Georgia '' in 1976. Gilbert Ray Postelle (June 22, 1986 – February 17, 2022) was an American mass murderer who was sentenced to death and executed for his involvement in a quadruple murder in Oklahoma. He was executed on February 17, 2022, by lethal injection. Early life Postelle was abandoned by his mother at a young age and at age twelve began using methamphetamine on a daily basis. Postelle was arrested at least eight times in Midwest City related to drug manufacturing and weapons complaints. His father, Earl Bradford "Brad" Postelle, had a 1996 drug conviction and, in 1999, was suspected of manufacturing methamphetamine in an old school bus behind his home. The death of Clayton Derrell Lockett occurred on April 29, 2014, when he suffered a heart attack during an execution by lethal injection in the U.S. state of Oklahoma. Lockett, aged 38, was convicted in 2000 of murder, rape, and kidnapping. Lockett was administered an untested mixture of drugs that had not previously been used for executions in the United States.
