Robt Ptak
Robt Ptak (born October 13, 1970) is an American rock singer-songwriter, guitarist, bassist, and record producer who is the co-founding member and bassist/backing vocalist for 1990s pop punk band Size 14. Career Size 14 The band Size 14 was formed when Ptak placed an ad in a Los Angeles classified magazine. Ptak and bandmate Linus of Hollywood recorded all of the band's early demos on Ptak's 8 Track. Ptak can also be heard singing backing vocals and the high falsettos parts on the band's songs. Ptak left the band in 1997 and was replaced by Ray Santangelo. Other projects In 1996 Ptak toured with Jakob Dylan for 3 months as a bass player and backup vocalist, playing songs from the album titled "Bringing Down the Horse". On the same tour he joined Tobi and Tammi Jaffee, more importantly he recorded a great track named "Pain in my Head", with Andrew Slater Dylan's manager, which was engineered by Toni Miller of The Wallflowers. Pin Me Down
Pin Me Down were a pop/electronica/rock side project of guitarist Russell Lissack, of the British band Bloc Party, and guitarist/singer Milena Mepris. The band was managed by Robt Ptak, who had previously worked with Mepris in Ptak's project Artificial Joy. The band made their live debut as a 5–6 piece in May 2008 in London, supporting Yeasayer. Their first single "Cryptic" appears on ''Kitsuné Maison Compilation 5'' as track number 5. Kitsuné also released a remix single of Pin Me Down's "Cryptic" in June 2008, which included remixes by Paul Epworth, James Ellis, Lissack himself, and others. Pin Me Down (album) On 19 July 2010, the band released their self-titled debut studio album. The album was produced by Alex Elena, who previously played drums with Mepris and manager Ptak's band Artificial Joy.
