Roberto Silvera
Roberto Carlos Silvera Calcerrada (born 30 January 1971) is an Uruguayan football referee. He has been an International FIFA referee since 2003 and officiated several important fixtures since then which include the semifinals of Copa Libertadores in 2007 between Boca Juniors and Cúcuta Deportivo (second leg) and again in 2008 between Boca Juniors and Fluminense (first leg). Silvera also officiated the first leg of Copa Sudamericana final on two occasions (2006, Pachuca against Colo-Colo and 2009, LDU Quito against Fluminense). He was selected for the 2007 FIFA U-20 World Cup in Canada but failed to pass a late fitness test and did not feature in the event. In 2011, he earned his first Copa América appointment after compatriot and controversial referee Jorge Larrionda was omitted from the selection. 2009 Copa Sudamericana
The 2009 Copa Sudamericana de Clubes (officially the 2009 Copa Nissan Sudamericana de Clubes for sponsorship reasons) is the 8th edition of the CONMEBOL's secondary international club tournament. Internacional were the defending champions, having won the trophy the previous season. Ecuadorian side LDU Quito won the 2009 tournament, becoming the first Ecuadorian winners of the trophy. From this edition onward, CONCACAF teams, which have participated in the tournament since 2005, will no longer be participating because of the format change in the CONCACAF Champions League, which conflicted with scheduling. The 2011 Copa Libertadores de América (officially the 2011 Copa Santander Libertadores de América for sponsorship reasons) was the 52nd edition of the Copa Libertadores de América, South America's premier international club football tournament organized by CONMEBOL. Jorge Larrionda
Jorge Luis Larrionda Pietrafesa (born 9 March 1968) is a retired FIFA football referee from Uruguay who has officiated at international matches since 1998. He officiated at the 2006 FIFA World Cup, where he took charge of four matches, including a semifinal between Portugal and France. He is known as a strict referee who shows a high number of cards. Larrionda is also well known in South America, having participated in countless matches of continental competitions such as the Copa Libertadores and the Campeonato Uruguayo. He retired from refereeing in 2011.
