Roberto Cabral Del Hoyo
Roberto Cabral del Hoyo (August 7, 1913 – October 4, 1999) was a Mexican historian and writer. Biography His father was Don Fernando Cabral Velasco, who worked in Hermosillo, Sonora, as manager of the Banco Nacional de Mexico. His mother, Amalia Rouset Pit, belonged to a family of former miners and ranchers. Cabral del Hoyo was born in the city of Zacatecas. In June 1930, Cabral del Hoyo participated in a speech contest organized by El Universal. He did well in the qualifying state and had the opportunity to attend the national qualifiers, held in Mexico City. Although he lost, he met several people that were interested in literature like him and gained something more important: a passion for literature revives. Without a father, he took refuge in poetry. Cabral del Hoyo was also introduced into the world of letters. Hermosillo (), formerly called Pitic (as in ''Santísima Trinidad del Pitic'' and ''Presidio del Pitic''), is a city located in the center of the northwestern Mexican state of Sonora. Ramón López Velarde
Ramón López Velarde (June 15, 1888 – June 19, 1921) was a Mexican poet. His work was a reaction against French-influenced modernismo which, as an expression of a purely Mexican subject matter and emotional experience, is unique. He achieved great fame in his native land, to the point of being considered Mexico's national poet. Biography Formative years López Velarde was born in Jerez de García Salinas, Zacatecas. He was the first of nine children of José Guadalupe López Velarde, a lawyer from Jalisco, and Trinidad Berumen Llamas, who came from a local landowning family. José, after an unsuccessful law career, had founded a Catholic school in Jerez. In 1900, Ramón was sent to a seminary in Zacatecas, where he remained for two years; later, when his family moved, he transferred to a seminary in Aguascalientes. Fondo de Cultura Económica (FCE or simply "Fondo") is a Spanish language, non-profit publishing group, partly funded by the Mexican government. It is based in Mexico but it has subsidiaries throughout the Spanish-speaking world. Ricardo Monreal Ávila (born September 19, 1960 in Fresnillo, Zacatecas) is a Mexican politician affiliated with the National Regeneration Movement (Morena). He is a senator and the Senate Majority Leader, a former Governor of Zacatecas and a former member of the Institutional Revolutionary Party (PRI) (and of the Party of the Democratic Revolution ) being closely identified during his tenure in that party with former president Carlos Salinas de Gortari. Monreal Ávila graduated with a bachelor's degree in law from the Autonomous University of Zacatecas (UAZ) and with a Ph.D. in administrative and constitutional law from the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM).
