Roberta Close (Roberta Gambine Moreira; born 7 December 1964) is a Brazilian fashion model. She was the first transgender model to have posed for the Brazilian edition of Playboy. She has appeared on the catwalk for numerous fashion houses, including Thierry Mugler, Guy Laroche, Jean Paul Gaultier. In addition to ''Playboy'', Close has been featured in editorials for ''Vogue''. Early life Close was born in Rio de Janeiro, and as an adolescent, began to adopt feminine attire and secretly began taking female hormone injections. By the age of seventeen, her career as a model and actress was beginning to take off. Career Close won the "Miss Gay Brazil" beauty pageant at the age of twenty. Antônio Augusto de Moraes Liberato (April 10, 1959 – November 21, 2019), better known as Gugu Liberato or simply Gugu, was a Brazilian television presenter, entrepreneur, actor and singer.
