Robert Louis Marx, better known as Robert Marcy, (4 July 1920 – 8 September 2024) was a French actor and stage director. He turned 100 in July 2020, and died on 8 September 2024, at the age of 104. The French Third Republic (french: Troisième République, sometimes written as ) was the system of government adopted in France from 4 September 1870, when the Second French Empire collapsed during the Franco-Prussian War, until 10 July 1940, after the Fall of France during World War II led to the formation of the Vichy government. A centenarian is a person who has reached the age of 100 years. Because life expectancies worldwide are below 100 years, the term is invariably associated with longevity. In 2012, the United Nations estimated that there were 316,600 living centenarians worldwide.
