Robert Kempiński (speedway Rider)
Robert Kempiński (born 11 July 1977) is a Polish chess Grandmaster. He is a two-time Polish Chess Champion. Career Kempiński entered his first tournament at the local chess club aged 7 and won easily. At the age of 14 he won the Polish junior championship in his age category, and the year after that he won the Polish junior championship for U20. In the following years he represented Poland in international competitions. He won the European Youth Chess Championship three times: 1993 (U16), 1994 (U18) and 1995 (U18). In 1995 he also won the world title in the World Youth Chess Championship in Guarapuava (Brasil), ahead of Emil Sutovsky. The following year he was awarded the grandmaster title and participated in his first Chess Olympiad, and has since then participated in six chess olympiads 1996–2006, with a 52.1% overall performance. Gata Kamsky
Gata Kamsky ( tt-Cyrl, Гата Камский, italics=no; russian: Гата Камский; born June 2, 1974) is a Soviet-born American chess grandmaster, and a five-time U.S. champion. Kamsky reached the final of the FIDE World Chess Championship 1996 at the age of 22, and reached a ranking of fourth in the world rankings in 1995. He played almost no FIDE-rated games between 1997 and late 2004. Kamsky won the Chess World Cup 2007. This earned him a Candidates Match against Veselin Topalov, which he lost. Kamsky also competed in the Candidates Tournament in 2011, losing to Boris Gelfand. Early career Kamsky was born in Novokuznetsk in Russia, in a Tatar family. Gata's last name, Kamsky, is derived from the stage nickname of his grandfather Gataullah "Kamsky" Sabirov, the founder of the Tatar Drama Theater in Kazan. Alexander Lastin
Alexander Lastin (russian: Александр Ластин; 30 November 1976 – 23 January 2015) was a Russian chess player. He was awarded the title of Grandmaster by FIDE in 1997. Lastin was born in Arkhangelsk and at three years old he moved to Zheleznovodsk. In 2001 he tied for first with Alexander Motylev in the Russian Chess Championship and finished second on tiebreak. Lastin won it in 2002. Lastin competed in the FIDE World Chess Championship 2002, where he was eliminated by Zhang Zhong in round two, after knocking out Ognjen Cvitan in the first. At the FIDE World Chess Championship 2004 he reached the third round, where he lost to Hikaru Nakamura and therefore was eliminated from the tournament. In March 2005 Lastin finished second at the Moscow Open. Deizisau is a town in the district of Esslingen in Baden-Württemberg in southern Germany.
