Robert James (28 March 1924 – 31 July 2004) was a British actor, who was best known for his television work. Born in Paisley, Scotland, Robert James trained to be a lawyer, before being spotted by a professional director while performing in amateur dramatics. Although a handful have survived, many of James' television performances were amongst those discarded by UK broadcasters throughout the 1960s and 70s, including his iconic role as Lesterson in ''The Power of the Daleks'', which now only exists as still photographs and audio recordings. Robert James (headmaster)
Robert Leoline James C.B.E. (27 September 1905 – 14 May 1982) was High Master of St Paul's School from 1946 to 1953 and headmaster of Harrow School from 1953 to 1971. Biography James was the son of Henry Lewis James, who was Dean of Bangor from 1934 to 1940. He was educated at Rossall School and Jesus College, Oxford, where he obtained a first-class degree in Literae Humaniores. He was also awarded a doctorate by the University of London. He was a housemaster at St Paul's School and taught classics from 1928 to 1939. In 1939, he became headmaster of Chigwell School before returning to St Paul's as High Master in 1946. In 1953, he became headmaster of Harrow School and on his death it was said that the prestige of the school had "seldom stood higher" than it had during his 18-year period in office. Robert William James (born December 26, 1983) is a former American football linebacker. He was drafted by the Atlanta Falcons in the fifth round of the 2008 NFL Draft. He played college football at Arizona State Sun Devils football, Arizona State. Professional career Atlanta Falcons James was selected as a fifth round (138th overall) draft choice by the Atlanta Falcons in the 2008 NFL Draft. He was signed to the Falcons practice squad on September 6, 2009 and was elevated to the 53-man roster on December 29, 2009. He was waived by the Falcons on October 5, 2010, but was re-signed to the team's practice squad a day later. Robert James (1703 – 23 March 1776) was an English physician who is best known as the author of ''A Medicinal Dictionary'', as the inventor of a popular "fever powder", and as a friend of Samuel Johnson. Life James was born in 1703, at Kinvaston in Staffordshire, to Edward James, a major in the English army, and his wife Frances, a sister of Sir Robert Clarke. His early education was at Lichfield Grammar School, where he became acquainted with his fellow student Samuel Johnson. He then attended St John's College, Oxford, from which he received the degree of A.B. on 5 July 1726. He was admitted as an extra-licentiate of the Royal College of Physicians on 12 January 1727/8, and in May of the same year was created doctor of medicine at Cambridge by royal mandate. Robert Brian James
Robert Brian James (1912 – 3 August 1944) was a British Army officer of the Second World War. He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (DSO) three times. He was the only son of Herbert Henry James and Laura Brind James of 58 Norfolk Road, Littlehampton. At the time of his death he was the commanding officer of the 5th Battalion, East Yorkshire Regiment, an infantry unit. He is buried in Hottot-les-Bagues Military Cemetery, Hottot-les-Bagues, Normandy. First DSO was gazetted in 1941 for services in the Middle East. Berkshire was a parliamentary constituency in England, represented in the House of Commons of the Parliament of England until 1707, then of the Parliament of Great Britain from 1707 to 1800 and of the Parliament of the United Kingdom from 1801 to 1885. The county returned two knights of the shire until 1832 and three between 1832 and 1885.
