Sir Robert Graham
Sir Robert Graham of Kinpont (died 1437) was a Scottish landowner, and one of the key conspirators in the assassination of King James I of Scotland in 1437. Family Robert Graham was the third son of Patrick Graham of Kincardine. He attended the University of Paris in the 1390s, potentially in preparation for entering the priesthood. In 1399 he married Marion Oliphant, daughter of John Oliphant of Aberdalgie. Robert's brother Sir Patrick Graham (died 1413) acquired the Earl of Strathearn, Earldom of Strathearn through his 1406 marriage to Euphemia Stewart, Countess of Strathearn. Robert became tutor to his nephew, Malise Graham, 1st Earl of Menteith, Malise Graham. He is described as "a grete gentilman... a man of grete wit and eloquence, wounder suttilye willyd and expert in the lawe". Robert Graham is a New York-based luxury men's fashion brand launched in 2001, taking its name from its co-founders, fashion designer Robert Stock and textile designer Graham Fowler. Robert James Douglas Graham FRSE (1884–1950) was a Scottish botanist. Life He was born on 20 July 1884 in Perth, the son of Dr John Thomas Graham. His family lived at 4 Athole Crescent in Perth. He was educated at Perth Academy then attended the University of St Andrews, graduating with an MA in 1904. From 1910 to 1914 he served as economic botanist to the Indian Agricultural Service. In the First World War he served as a lieutenant colonel in the Indian Army Reserve. In 1919 and 1920 he was director of agriculture for Mesopotamia. In 1921 he went to the University of Edinburgh as a lecturer in botany. In 1924 he was elected a fellow of the Royal Society of Edinburgh. Robert Graham of Fintry was the 12th Laird of Fintry near Dundee and was one of Robert Burns's most supportive patrons, correspondent and loyal associate. Appointed a Commissioner of the Scottish Board of Excise he assisted Burns with his Excise career and during his 'loyalty' difficulties. Joe William Haldeman (born June 9, 1943) is an American science fiction author. He is best known for his novel ''The Forever War'' (1974). That novel and other works, including ''The Hemingway Hoax'' (1991) and '' Forever Peace'' (1997), have won science fiction awards, including the Hugo Award and Nebula Award. He was awarded the SFWA Grand Master for career achievements. In 2012 he was inducted as a member of the Science Fiction Hall of Fame. Robert Graham (born 11 February 1942, Berlin) is a German theoretical physicist. Biography Graham attended the Karls-Gymnasium in Stuttgart and studied at the University of Stuttgart, where in 1967 he earned under Hermann Haken his physics Diplom (quantum fluctuations of the optical parametric oscillator) and in 1969 his PhD (''Lichtausbreitung in laseraktiven fluktuierenden Medien'', "Light Propagation in Laser-active Fluctuating Media").
