Robert Evans Greer
Robert Evans Greer (7 August 1915 – 11 February 1976) was a United States Air Force (USAF) officer who attained the rank of major general. A graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point, New York, where he was ranked 175th in the class of 1939, he served in China and the Mariana Islands during World War II. After the war he served in the USAF Office of the Assistant for Atomic Energy and as vice commander of the Space Systems Division of the Air Force Systems Command. Early life Robert Evans Greer was born in Orange, California, on 7 August 1915, the son of Jack and Agnes May Greer. Carter Glass
Carter Glass (January 4, 1858 – May 28, 1946) was an American newspaper publisher and Democratic politician from Lynchburg, Virginia. He represented Virginia in both houses of Congress and served as the United States Secretary of the Treasury under President Woodrow Wilson. He played a major role in the establishment of the U.S. financial regulatory system, helping to establish the Federal Reserve System and the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation. After working as a newspaper editor and publisher, Glass won election to the Senate of Virginia in 1899. Millard's Preparatory School, also known as the Millard Preparatory School for West Point, was a military preparatory school in Washington, D.C. that existed from 1925 to 1948. Santa Ana Junior College
Santa Ana College is a public community college in Santa Ana, California. History In 1915, Santa Ana Junior College opened its doors to 25 students as a department of Santa Ana High School. It was the second community college founded in Orange County, behind Fullerton College, and the fourth oldest in all of California. In 1932, a charter of Gamma Sigma Fraternity International was granted. Beta Alpha Chapter was at the school from 1932 to 1938 but anti-fraternity agitation and lack of communication with the organization in the east made the chapter dormant by 1938. The 1933 Long Beach earthquake damaged the Santa Ana High School building, prompting the campus move to North Main Street where it remained until 1947. Huntington Beach High School (HBHS) is a public high school in Huntington Beach, California. Built in 1906, it is part of the Huntington Beach Union High School District. HBHS is a California Distinguished School. Huntington Beach High School is also the home of the Huntington Beach Academy for the Performing Arts. Campus Huntington Beach High School bell tower and auditorium were originally built in 1903 and were rebuilt in 1926. In July 2009, renovations were completed on the auditorium and the bell tower. Coronado High School (California)
Coronado High School (CHS) is a public high school in Coronado, California. It is the only high school in the Coronado Unified School District. The California Department of Education gave it a California Distinguished School award in 2011 and two Model Continuation High School awards in 2014 and 2018. The Coronado School of the Arts (CoSA) is located on the campus of CHS. History Coronado High School was established in 1913.
