Robbie West
Robbie West (born 7 March 1969) is a former Australian rules footballer who played for the West Coast Eagles and Footscray in the Australian Football League (AFL). Originally from Ovens & Murray Football Netball League club Wodonga, West was drafted by West Coast at the 1990 AFL Draft and made his AFL debut in the 1991 AFL season. West was unable to break into West Coast's strong side, managed just three games in each of his first two seasons, instead playing most of his football with Western Australian Football League (WAFL) club West Perth, winning the Sandover Medal for best and fairest player in the WAFL as well as West Perth's Fairest and Best award. West's most successful year in the AFL came in 1993 when he played 10 games and the following year he crossed to Footscray for one season. The Wodonga Football Netball Club, nicknamed the ''Bulldogs'', is an Australian rules football and netball club based in the city of Wodonga, Victoria. History Wodonga's first recorded match was against the Albury Football Club on Saturday, 6 July 1878 in Wodonga. Between 1878 and 1891, Wodonga played many intermittent friendly matches against other local club's and towns, before organised fixtures and competitions were starting to be arranged from the early 1890s. In 1886, the Wodonga Junior Football Club played Chiltern in a very rough match, with T Powell captaining the winning Wodonga side and in 1887, Wodonga Junior's journeyed to and were beaten by Chiltern. The 2021 AFL draft comprised the various periods where the 18 clubs in the Australian Football League (AFL) can trade and recruit players during and following the completion of the 2021 AFL season.
