Riza Zalameda
Riza Angela Zalameda (born February 10, 1986) is an American-Filipino former tennis player. From 2004 to 2008, she attended and represented University of California on the Division I women's tennis team. Zalameda is a former NCAA national champion in the doubles and team events, and four-time All-American in singles and doubles. Upon graduating with a degree in Anthropology, she played on the WTA Tour. From 2012 to 2016, Zalameda served as the assistant coach for Columbia University's Division I women's tennis program in New York City. Then, from 2016 to 2018, she led the newly fully funded tennis program at Seton Hall University in South Orange, New Jersey. Her career high ranking is number 370 achieved on 18 August 2008. Her career high doubles ranking is 278th achieved on the 28 July 2008. Yayuk Basuki (born 30 November 1970) is an Indonesian former professional tennis player who is now a politician. She is the highest-ever ranked tennis player from Indonesia, having reached No. 19 in singles in the WTA rankings in October 1997. The Taipei Open or Taipei WTA Challenger () is a tournament for female professional tennis players played on indoor carpet courts. The event is currently classified as an WTA 125K tournament. It has been held annually in November in Taipei City, Taiwan, from 2008 until 2015, and was sponsored by the OEC Group. WTA Rankings
The WTA rankings are the ratings defined by the Women's Tennis Association, introduced in November 1975. Iga Świątek is the current world No. 1. Ranking method The WTA rankings are based on a rolling 52-week, cumulative system. A player's ranking is determined by her results at a maximum of 16 tournaments for singles and 11 for doubles and points are awarded based on how far a player advances in a tournament. The basis for calculating a player's ranking are those tournaments that yield the highest ranking points during the rolling 52-week period with the condition that they must include points from the 4 Grand Slams, the 4 Premier Mandatory tournaments and the WTA Finals. In addition, for Top 20 players, their best two results at Premier 5 tournaments will also count. The ITF Women's World Tennis Tour, previously known as the ITF Women's Circuit, is a series of professional tennis tournaments run by the International Tennis Federation for female professional tennis players.
