Rivière De La Grande Loutre
The Rivière de la Grande Loutre is a tributary of the Péribonka River, flowing in the unorganized territory of Passes-Dangereuses, in the Maria-Chapdelaine Regional County Municipality, in the administrative region of Saguenay–Lac-Saint-Jean, in the province of Quebec, in Canada. The upper part of the watershed of the Grande Loutre river is served by the forest road R0206 (north–south direction) which passes between Dubray Lake and lac de Bransac. From the south, this road goes up the Mistassibi River. A few secondary roads serve the area for forestry and recreational tourism purposes. Forestry is the main economic activity in the sector; second, recreational tourism activities. The surface of the Grande Loutre River is usually frozen from late November to early April, however safe traffic on the ice is generally from early December to early April. Manouane Lake (Mont-Valin)
Lake Manouane is a lake in central Quebec, Canada. It is just north-east of Kempt Lake, mostly within the boundaries of the City of La Tuque. (Its extreme southern tip lies in Baie-Obaoca, in Matawinie Regional County Municipality.) It should not be confused with more northerly Lake Manouane in the Peribonka River watershed. Geography The main roads to reach the lake Manouane pass through Saint-Micihel-des-Saints ( Lanaudière) or Rivière-aux-Rats (Mauricie). The Lac Kempt, located southwest of Lake Manouane is the main tributary of the latter. A strait of about connects the Lac Kempt and Manouane lake. Lake Péribonka is a freshwater body of the unorganized territory of Mont-Valin, Quebec, in Le Fjord-du-Saguenay Regional County Municipality, in the administrative region of Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean, in Quebec, Canada. Mistassini Lake
Lake Mistassini () is the largest natural lake by surface area in the province of Quebec, Canada, with a total surface area of approximately and a net area (water surface area only) of . It is located in the Jamésie region of the province, approximately east of James Bay. The Cree town of Mistissini is located on Watson Peninsula in the south-east corner of the lake, which separates Baie du Poste from Abatagouche Bay. Extensive forests of spruce, birch, pine, and fir trees, which support a booming forestry industry, surround the lake. Lake Albanel
Lake Albanel is located east of Lake Mistassini and covers a total area of approximately . It is located in the region of Jamésie. Quebec Route 167 ends beside this lake. It is entirely located in the protected area of Lacs-Albanel-Mistassini-et-Waconichi. Formation theory In 2016, it was reported that the arc shaped lake, together with nearby Lake Mistassini, may have been formed by a large meteor impact about 2.1 billion years ago. The rest of the 500 km diameter crater is thought to have now been mostly eroded away or buried but geological indications of a major impact have been found in the rocks around the lake.
