Rivière-Héva
Rivière-Héva is a municipality in northwestern Quebec, Canada in the La Vallée-de-l'Or Regional County Municipality. It is named after the Héva River that flows through the municipality. History In 1935 as part of the Vautrin Settlement Plan, the place was colonized, originally called Aux Quatre-Coins (French for "At Four Corners"). In 1981, it was incorporated as a municipality. On August 29, 2009, Rivière-Héva was greatly enlarged when it absorbed the Unorganized Territory of Lac-Fouillac and the western portion of the Unorganized Territory of Lac-Granet. Lac-Fouillac
Lac-Fouillac is a former unorganized territory in the Abitibi-Témiscamingue region of Quebec, Canada, now part the Municipality of Rivière-Héva in the La Vallée-de-l'Or Regional County Municipality. In July 2007, the residents of Lac-Fouillac overwhelmingly rejected the amalgamation of their territory with the City of Malartic. 96% of voters voted against annexation in a referendum. But two years later on August 29, 2009, Lac-Fouillac, together with the western portion of the Unorganized Territory of Lac-Granet, was merged into the Municipality of Rivière-Héva. Malartic is a town on the Malartic River in northwestern Quebec, Canada, in the La Vallée-de-l'Or Regional County Municipality. It is located about east of the centre of Rouyn-Noranda along Quebec Route 117 and the Canadian National Railway. In addition to the main settlement of Malartic, the municipality also includes the smaller settlement of Norrie. La Motte is a municipality in the Canadian province of Quebec, located in the Abitibi Regional County Municipality and the administrative region of Abitibi-Témiscamingue. Abitibi-Est is a provincial electoral district in the Abitibi-Témiscamingue region of Quebec, Canada, that elects members to the National Assembly of Quebec. Lac-Granet is an unorganized territory in the Abitibi-Témiscamingue region of Quebec, Canada. It is one of five unorganized territories in the La Vallée-de-l'Or Regional County Municipality. Until July 6, 1996, Lac-Granet was a large unorganized territory encompassing . On that day, most of it was added to the City of Val-d'Or. It retained only two small non-contiguous areas totalling , of which its western part was a small section of land straddling the north shore of Lake Lemoine and its eastern part is an almost square tract surrounding Lake Granet, mostly part of the La Vérendrye Wildlife Reserve. On August 29, 2009, Lac-Granet was reduced in size again when its western portion, together with the Unorganized Territory of Lac-Fouillac, were added to the Municipality of Rivière-Héva. Val-d'Or (, , ; "Golden Valley" or "Valley of Gold") is a city in Quebec, Canada with a population of 32,752 inhabitants according to the Canada 2021 Census.
