The Riverfront Stadium (Tampa) is a soccer stadium in Tampa, Florida. History In 2023, it was announced that USL Super League team Tampa Bay Sun FC would play their first few seasons on the campus of Howard W. Blake High School. Plans were also revealed to bring the stadium's capacity from 1,800 up to 5,000. The renovations began in February 2024 are were completed in August ahead of the club's 2024–25 Tampa Bay Sun FC season, inaugural season. The first match at the stadium was a closed-doors friendly between Tampa Bay Sun and South Florida Bulls women's soccer, USF. The first competitive match took place on August 18, 2024 between the Sun and Dallas Trinity FC. The USL Super League (USLS) is a planned Division II professional women's soccer league in the United States, beginning play in 2023. The league will be owned and operated by the United Soccer League. History USL announced the formation of the Super League on September 21, 2021. The South Florida Bulls women's soccer team represents the University of South Florida in the sport of soccer. The Bulls currently compete in the American Athletic Conference within Division I of the National Collegiate Athletic Association.
