Rita Sinon
Rita Sinon (1943 – 8 May 1989) was a Kenya-born Seychellois politician who became the first female Minister of Seychelles was when she was appointed Minister for Internal Affairs on 19 September 1986. Her husband Guy Sinon and son Peter Sinon also served in the Cabinet of Seychelles. Peter Andrew Guy Sinon (born 30 October 1966) is a former Seychellois Cabinet Minister who served as Minister for Investment, Natural Resources and Industry from 2010 to 2015. The son of Ministers Guy Sinon and Rita Sinon, Peter graduated from the University of East Anglia, where he was a Chevening Scholar, with a 2:2 in Development Studies in 1990, and an MA in Development Economics in 1996. France-Albert René (; 16 November 1934 – 27 February 2019) was a Seychellois lawyer, politician and statesman who served as the second President of Seychelles from 1977 to 2004. He also served as the country's 2nd Prime Minister from its independence in 1976 to 1977. He was nicknamed by Seychellois government officials and fellow party members as "the Boss". His name is often given as simply Albert René or F.A. René; he was also nicknamed Ti France. Sylvette Frichot
Sylvette Frichot, sometimes Sylvette Frichot-Pool or Sylvette Pool (born 1945) is a former politician in the Seychelles. Frichot trained in her youth as a teacher, but soon found that she was paid much less than men. The National Committee on Pay Equity defended this idea by referencing that women made 59 cents to every dollar that men made in 1963. In 1966 she joined the Seychelles People's United Party, now known as the Seychelles People's Progressive Front, where she began doing clerical work. She was later appointed a principal coordinator. In 1968, Frichot found the party's Women's League, of which she was elected chair from 1970 to 1977. It is clear that Frichot found herself in leadership positions among women more times than not. She has also held a number of leadership positions in the wider party.
