Rita Roland
Rita Roland (born Rita Rosenstein) was a prolific German-born film editor known for her work on German and American films like '' Six Pack'', ''The New Kids'', and ''Good Luck, Miss Wyckoff''. Biography Rita Rosenstein was born in Germany to Ernst Rosenstein and Elsa Landsberger. She began her career as a film editor in her native country before World War II. She fled Germany during the Holocaust, moving to Hollywood, where she edited dozens of films for MGM before she died in 1998. She was survived by her husband, Dutch writer-director Henry Martin. Six Pack (film)
''Six Pack'' is a 1982 American comedy-drama film directed by Daniel Petrie and starring Kenny Rogers, Diane Lane, Erin Gray, Anthony Michael Hall and Barry Corbin. Plot When race car driver Brewster Baker stops at a gas station in a small Texas town, parts are stolen from his race car. While at a local diner, he sees people stealing parts from another car, so he gives chase. When the thieves' van goes into a river, Brewster rescues them and discovers that they are orphaned children. The kids were stealing for "Big John" the corrupt county sheriff, who jails Brewster for breaking and entering, larceny, resisting arrest and speeding. After the kids help break Brewster out of jail, Brewster reluctantly takes the children with him. ''The Singing Nun'' is a 1966 American semi-biographical musical drama film about the life of Jeannine Deckers, the nun who recorded the chart-topping song "Dominique". Directed by Henry Koster, in his final film, it starred Debbie Reynolds in the title role, and features Ricardo Montalbán, Greer Garson, Katharine Ross, Chad Everett, and Ed Sullivan as himself.
