Rita Renoir
Rita Renoir (19 January 1934 – 4 May 2016) was a French strip-teaser and actress. Biography Renoir was the Vedette of the Crazy Horse Saloon, in Paris, between the 1950s and 1960s, becoming one of the most famous European strip-teasers. In 1964 Renoir was chosen by Michelangelo Antonioni to play the role of Emilia in ''The Red Desert'', and the following year she made her theatrical debut in René de Obaldia's ''Du vent dans les branches de sassafras'', alongside Michel Simon. In 1967 Renoir was the lead actress in Jean-Jacques Lebel's representation of the Pablo Picasso's drama ''Le Désir Attrapé par la Queue'' (''Desire Caught by the Tail''). Vedette (cabaret)
A vedette is the main female artist of a show derived from cabaret and its subcategories of revue, vaudeville, music hall or burlesque. The purpose of the vedette is to entertain and captivate the public. The vedette has to know how to sing, dance and act on stage. Particularly accomplished artistes are considered ''super vedettes'' or ''first vedettes''. Vedettes often appear alongside groups of dancers, flashy and revealing costumes, magicians, comedians, jugglers, or even performing animals. Vedettes specializing in burlesque generally do striptease and may also perform nude on stage. In the 20th century, vedette shows were successful in the cabarets, theaters and nightclubs of countries such as Spain, France, Argentina and Mexico. Julio Florencio Cortázar (26 August 1914 – 12 February 1984; ) was an Argentine, nationalized French novelist, short story writer, essayist, and translator. Known as one of the founders of the Latin American Boom, Cortázar influenced an entire generation of Spanish-speaking readers and writers in America and Europe. ''The Angel'' (french: L'Ange) is a 1982 French experimental art film directed by Patrick Bokanowski. It was released on DVD for the first time in 2009, edited by the British Animation Awards. The film was shown at Fantasporto during February 1983 and shown to the general public in France on April 4, 1984. Synopsis ''The Angel'' does not have a narrative set in place; rather, there is a guideline governing its shifts and development. The masked silhouettes climb stairs, and engage in various meetings on each level, while being digitally manipulated in time. The film could be described as a spiritual quest that doubles as a study of optical illusions, Bokanowski recreating all the objectives of his cameras. Le Crazy Horse Saloon or Le Crazy Horse de Paris is a Parisian cabaret known for its stage shows performed by nude female dancers and for the diverse range of magic and variety 'turns' between each nude show and the next. Its owners have helped to create related cabaret and burlesque shows in other cities. Unrelated businesses have used the phrase "Crazy Horse" in their names. History The Paris Crazy Horse occupies former wine cellars (12 in all, which have been combined) of an impressive Haussmanian building at 12 Avenue George-V (from the British king George V, in French "George Cinq").
