Rimon School of Music is a contemporary music school in Ramat Hasharon, Israel. It is Israel's largest independent professional school for advanced study of jazz, R&B, bebop, rock, and pop music. Many of its graduates have become well-known music professionals and performers throughout the world. The Rimon School is respected for its academic excellence and wide range of opportunities for artistic expression. Ori Naftaly
Ori Naftaly (born 1987) is an Israeli-born guitarist, composer and music producer. After founding the Ori Naftaly Band in Israel, he moved to Memphis, Tennessee and established the Southern Avenue band. Biography Ori Naftaly grew up in the small town of Even Yehuda, east of Netanya. At the age of 5, Ori began taking music lessons and learned to play guitar. Until graduating from Hadassim High School at the age of 17, he studied guitar with different teachers from a wide range of music genres (Spanish, Classical, Jazz and Funk). The education system in Israel consists of three tiers: primary education (grades 1–6, approximately ages 6–12), middle school (grades 7–9, approximately ages 12–15) and high school (grades 10–12, approximately ages 15–19). Vira Lozinsky (born 1974) is an Israeli-Moldovan musician and Yiddish language singer. Biography Vira Lozinsky was born in 1974 in Bălți, Moldova ( Bessarabia) to a family of Jewish artists. As a child, Vira studied music and played the violin at the city music school. She participated in the local Yiddish theater led by her father Mikhoel Felsenbaum. She was exposed at an early age to the cultures and musical styles of the many ethnic groups living in Moldova: Moldovans, Romanians, Jews, Roma, Russians and others. Aviv Geffen ( he, אביב גפן, born 10 May 1973) is an Israeli rock musician, singer, songwriter and the son of writer and poet Yehonatan Geffen and Nurit Makover, brother of actress Shira Geffen, and an alumnus of Rimon School of Jazz and Contemporary Music. Tom Oren
Tom Oren (born November 4, 1994) is an Israeli jazz pianist and winner of the 2018 Thelonious Monk Institute of Jazz International Piano Competition. Oren was born in Tel Aviv, Israel. He graduated from Thelma Yellin High School of the Arts, Givatayim and from the Arison Campus of the Arts, Tel Aviv. He is a graduate of the Israeli Conservatory of Music, Tel Aviv, with honors. He studied for two years at the Rimon School of Jazz and Contemporary Music, finishing in 2015.
