Rimas Kurtinaitis
Rimas Kurtinaitis (born 15 May 1960) is a Lithuanian professional basketball coach and former player who is currently the head coach of the Lithuania men's national basketball team, Lithuania men's national team and Sabah BC. As a player, he was a member of the senior Soviet Union national basketball team, Soviet and Lithuania men's national basketball team, Lithuanian national basketball teams and won a gold medal at the 1988 Summer Olympics, 1988 Seoul Olympics. At a height of tall, he played at the shooting guard position. He is the only non-National Basketball Association, NBA player to ever participate at the NBA All-Star Weekend's Three-Point Contest, doing so in 1989, where he scored 9 points. The Liga ACB, known as Liga Endesa for sponsorship reasons, is the top professional basketball division of the Spanish basketball league system. The 1984–85 FIBA European Cup Winners' Cup was the nineteenth edition of FIBA's 2nd-tier level European-wide professional club basketball competition, contested between national domestic cup champions, running from 2 October 1984, to 19 March 1985. It was contested by 20 teams, four less than in the previous edition. FC Barcelona, runner-up in the 1983–84 edition of the Spanish Cup, was assigned the berth of the previous year's winner, Real Madrid, who would participate in that season's FIBA European Champions Cup instead. The Lithuania men's national basketball team () represents Lithuania in international basketball competitions. They are controlled by the Lithuanian Basketball Federation, the governing body for basketball in Lithuania. Sabah Basketball Club, also known simply as Sabah BC or Sabah, is an Azerbaijani professional basketball team based in Baku. Founded in 2022, as a team affiliated to the Sabah FC football team, they joined the Azerbaijan Basketball League (ABL) in the 2022–23 season. They won the national championship in their debut season. As champions, they entered the 2023–24 FIBA Europe Cup qualifying rounds, as the first Azerbaijani team to play in a European competition in 18 years (after Gala Baku in 2005).
