Rigoberto Paredes
Rigoberto Paredes (26 April 1948 – 9 March 2015) was a Honduran poet, essayist and publisher. He was the founder of Editorial Guaymuras, Editores Unidos and Ediciones Librería Paraíso. Among his works were ''En el Lugar de los hechos'' (1974); ''Las cosas por su nombre'' (1978); ''Materia prima'' (1985); ''Fuego lento'' (1989); ''La estación perdida'' (2001). He received the Ramón Rosa National Literature Award in 2006. Santa Claus, also known as Father Christmas, Saint Nicholas, Saint Nick, Kris Kringle, or simply Santa, is a legendary figure originating in Western Christian culture who is said to bring children gifts during the late evening and overnight hours on Christmas Eve of toys and candy or coal or nothing, depending on whether they are "naughty or nice". Tegucigalpa
Tegucigalpa (, , ), formally Tegucigalpa, Municipality of the Central District ( es, Tegucigalpa, Municipio del Distrito Central or ''Tegucigalpa, M.D.C.''), and colloquially referred to as ''Tegus'' or ''Teguz'', is the capital and largest city of Honduras along with its sister city, Comayagüela. Claimed on 29 September 1578 by the Spaniards, Tegucigalpa became the country's capital on October 30, 1880, under President Marco Aurelio Soto, when he moved the capital from Comayagua. Honduras, officially the Republic of Honduras, is a country in Central America. The Ramón Rosa National Literature Award ( es, Premio Nacional de Literatura Ramón Rosa) is an honor presented annually by the President of Honduras. History Named in honor of the liberal writer and government minister Ramón Rosa (1848–1993), the award was created by legislative decree in 1949, and first given in 1951, to Luis Andrés Zúniga. The National Autonomous University of Honduras () is the national public university of Honduras. Founded in 1847, it has over 140 programs from the Bachelor's level to the Doctorate, and is the largest and highest ranked university in Honduras. History In December 1845, La Sociedad del Genio Emprendedor y del Buen Gusto was founded by Father José Trinidad Reyes as a private school. By 1847, it received backing from President Juan Lindo, and was reestablished as the University of Honduras, operating in the Church of St. Francis.
