Rickards High School
James S. Rickards High School is a public high school in Tallahassee, Florida, United States. It is a part of Leon County Schools. Rickards has hosted an International Baccalaureate program since 1994, creating a culturally diverse mix of students and a varied ethnic focus. The school has many programs that demonstrate cultural diversity and equality, one of which focuses on traditional dance and clothes. This program is coordinated by Dr. Joe Williams. The school's mascot, originally the Rickards Redskins, was changed to the Rickards Raiders in 2000 because of controversy over the racial connotations of the term "redskin". The school colors are blue and gold. Alumni Village, the designated Florida State University housing unit for FSU students with children, was zoned to Rickards High School prior to its closure. Kolby Kendrall Smith (born December 15, 1984) is a former American football running back and coach who is an offensive assistant for the Miami Dolphins of the National Football League (NFL). He was drafted by the Kansas City Chiefs in the fifth round of the 2007 NFL Draft after he played college football at Louisville Cardinals football, Louisville. Smith also was a member of the Denver Broncos and Jacksonville Jaguars. Utah's 4th congressional district is a congressional district created by the state legislature as a result of reapportionment by Congress after the 2010 Census showed population increases in the state relative to other states. Prior to 2010 reapportionment, Utah had three congressional districts. Clarence Burgess Owens (born August 2, 1951) is an American politician, nonprofit executive and former professional football player serving as the U.S. representative for Utah's 4th congressional district since 2021. Corey Bushe Fuller (born May 1, 1971) is an American football coach and former player. He was the interim head football coach at Florida A&M University in 2014. Fuller was promoted from defensive backs coach to interim head coach after having been the head football coach at East Gadsden High School from 2010 to 2012. He played in the National Football League (NFL) for ten seasons, from 1995 to 2004, with the Minnesota Vikings, Cleveland Browns, and Baltimore Ravens.
