Rick Todd
Rick Todd (born October 3, 1962) is a Canadian professional golfer who played on the PGA Tour, Nationwide Tour, Asian Tour, Japan Golf Tour and the Canadian Tour. Todd was born in Toronto, Ontario. He played college golf at the University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP). He was second team All-American in 1986, third team in 1985 and honorable mention in 1984 and made the All- WAC first team four years in a row. He won four tournaments while at UTEP and was elected into the El Paso Golf Hall of Fame in 1984. He turned pro in 1987. Todd joined the PGA Tour in 1990, earning his card through qualifying school. After an unsuccessful year on Tour, he joined the Ben Hogan Tour (now Nationwide Tour) where he won the Ben Hogan El Paso Open in his rookie season. The following year he won the Ben Hogan Dakota Dunes Open. In his last full season on the Tour in 1993 he recorded three top-10 finishes. 1996 World Cup Of Golf
The 1996 World Cup of Golf took place 21–24 November at the Erinvale Golf Club in Somerset West, Cape Town, South Africa. It was the 42nd World Cup. The tournament was a 72-hole stroke play team event (32 teams) with each team consisting of two players from a country. The combined score of each team determined the team results. Individuals also competed for the International Trophy. The prize money totaled $1,500,000 with $400,000 going to the winning pair and $100,000 to the top individual. The South African team of Ernie Els and Wayne Westner won by 18 strokes over the United States team of Steve Jones and Tom Lehman. Els took the International Trophy by three strokes over Westner. PGA Championship
The PGA Championship (often referred to as the US PGA Championship or USPGA outside the United States) is an annual golf tournament conducted by the Professional Golfers' Association of America. It is one of the four men's major championships in professional golf. It was formerly played in mid-August on the third weekend before Labor Day weekend, serving as the fourth and final men's major of the golf season. The Masters Tournament (usually referred to as simply The Masters, or the U.S. Masters outside North America) is one of the four major championships in professional golf. The Open Championship, often referred to as The Open or the British Open, is the oldest golf tournament in the world, and one of the most prestigious. Founded in 1860, it was originally held annually at Prestwick Golf Club in Scotland. Later the venue rotated between a select group of coastal links golf courses in the United Kingdom. The Bayview Place DCBank Open is a golf tournament on PGA Tour Canada. It is the longest running tour event. It is currently played at the Uplands Golf Club in Oak Bay, British Columbia. It has been played at several courses on a rotating basis, all in the Victoria, British Columbia area. Originally played as the Victoria Open in 1981, the tournament was revived in 1984 as a stop on the PGA Tour's satellite Tournament Players Series. David Jackson (golfer)
David Alan Jackson (born June 3, 1964) is an American professional golfer and former PGA Tour member. Jackson was born in Valdosta, Georgia. He attended the University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida, where he played for the Florida Gators men's golf team in National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) competition from 1983 to 1986. During his college career, he was a two-time individual medalist, the Gators won the Southeastern Conference (SEC) team championship in 1985, and he was a first-team All-SEC selection three times (1984, 1985, 1986). Jackson also received All-American honors four times. He graduated from the university with a bachelor's degree in exercise and sport science in 1986.
