Richardson Cove, Tennessee
Richardson Cove is an unincorporated community in Sevier County, in the U.S. state of Tennessee. History The first settlement at Richardsons Cove was made in 1792 by William Richardson. A variant name was "Richisons Cove". A post office called Richison's Cove was established in 1875, the name was changed to Richison Cove in 1892, the name was changed again to Richison in 1895, and the post office closed in 1901. Sevier County ( ) is a county of the U.S. state of Tennessee. As of the 2020 census, the population was 98,380. Its county seat and largest city is Sevierville. Sevier County comprises the Sevierville, TN Micropolitan Statistical Area, which is included in the Knoxville- Morristown-Sevierville, TN Combined Statistical Area. History Prior to the arrival of white settlers in present-day Sevier County in the mid-18th century, the area had been inhabited for as many as 20,000 years by nomadic and semi-nomadic Native Americans.
