Richard McCourt
Richard "Dick" McCourt (born 12 August 1976) is an English entertainer and presenter. He is best known as one half of the comic duo Dick and Dom, with the other being Dominic Wood. His older brother is fellow television presenter James McCourt (TV host), James McCourt. Education McCourt was educated at Tapton School, a state comprehensive in Sheffield. At The Sheffield College, Norton College, building on his experience as a volunteer at Sheffield's hospital radio station, he studied audio, video and print media, receiving the BTEC Extended Diploma, BTEC National Diploma in media production in 1994. Television McCourt gained his experience in Sheffield presenting Hospital Television and local television throughout the early '90s. He is best known for co-presenting, with Dominic Wood, ''Dick & Dom in da Bungalow''. Sky One
Sky One was a British pay television channel operated and owned by Sky Group (a division of Comcast). Originally launched on 26 April 1982 as Satellite Television, it was Europe's first satellite and non-terrestrial channel. BBC Local Radio (also referred to as Local BBC Radio) is the BBC's local and regional radio division for England and the Channel Islands, consisting of forty stations. History The popularity of pirate radio was to challenge a change within the at the time very "stiff" and blinkered management at the BBC. The most prominent concession by the BBC was the creation of BBC Radio 1, to satisfy the ever-demanding new youth culture with their thirst for new, popular music. The Sheffield Children's Hospital is a healthcare facility for children in Broomhill, Sheffield, South Yorkshire, England. It is managed by the Sheffield Children's NHS Foundation Trust. History The hospital first opened on 15 November 1876 as a children's infirmary in Brightmore House, on Brook Hill in Sheffield. ''Blue Peter'' is a British children's television entertainment programme created by John Hunter Blair. It is the longest-running children's TV show in the world, having been broadcast since October 1958. Dick and Dom's Hoopla was a CBBC children's entertainment television series presented by the duo Dick and Dom (Richard McCourt and Dominic Wood). It was first broadcast in September 2012 and was shown every Friday evening on the CBBC Channel. ''Splatalot!'' is a medieval-themed physical game show which premiered in Canada on YTV on 14 March 2011, hosted by Jason Agnew and Matt Chin. It began airing during weekday mornings on BBC Two from Monday 26 January to Friday 20 February 2009 and featured newly recorded material from the original cast and the creamy muck muck finale towards the end of each episode. ''Ask the Family'' is a British game show that was first broadcast on BBC1 from 12 June 1967 to 22 October 1984 hosted by Robert Robinson and then on UK Gold from 6 June to 10 October 1999 hosted by Alan Titchmarsh and from 4 April to 5 May 2005 hosted by Dick & Dom on BBC Two.
