Richard William Martin (born 1 September 1987) is an English former footballer who played as a goalkeeper. Career England Martin grew up in Liverpool and progressed successfully through the youth ranks at Brighton and was awarded a professional contract in September 2004 on reaching his 17th birthday. During that time, the highly rated 'keeper was a target for a number of premiership clubs including Liverpool with whom he trialled in 2004 and Everton in 2006. Martin made his first team debut for Brighton in a pre-season friendly against Le Havre AC and went on to feature in four more ties including starts against Oxford United and AFC Bournemouth. During the course of the 2005–06 season, he made fourteen appearances on the substitute bench as the understudy to Irish international Wayne Henderson and also had a successful loan spell at Kingstonian, helping them move from the 18th to seventh position in the league before being recalled by the club. Sven-Göran Eriksson (; born 5 February 1948) is a Swedish football manager and former player. After an unassuming playing career as a right-back, Eriksson went on to experience major success in club management between 1977 and 2001, winning 18 trophies with a variety of league clubs in Sweden, Portugal and Italy; he became the first manager to win league-and-cup doubles in three countries. Andreas Isaksson
Jan Andreas Isaksson (; born 3 October 1981) is a Swedish former professional footballer who played as a goalkeeper. Isaksson began his career at local Trelleborgs FF, before briefly representing Juventus. He would later return to Sweden, where he won two Allsvenskan titles with Djurgårdens IF. After two seasons with Rennes, he was signed for £2 million by Manchester City of the Premier League, where he was not a regular. After four seasons in the Eredivisie with PSV, he joined Kasımpaşa in Turkey on a free transfer in 2012. He returned to Djurgårdens IF in 2016 with which he won the 2017–18 Svenska Cupen before retiring in 2018. Eric Steele (born 15 May 1954) is an English former footballer turned coach, who is currently employed as a goalkeeping coach by the Football Association, working with England's junior teams. Career Steele began his playing career as a goalkeeper at Newcastle United in 1972, where he was part of the squad that won the Anglo-Italian Cup and won caps at England under-18 level. He then joined Peterborough United, and established himself as first-choice 'keeper, setting a record for most consecutive league appearances (124). That record would later be beaten by another Peterborough player, George Boyd (144). He does however, continue to hold the most consecutive appearances in all competitions for the Posh (148). The National League South, formerly Conference South, is one of the second divisions of the National League in England, immediately below the top division National League. In sports, a loan involves a particular player being able to temporarily play for a club other than the one to which they are currently contracted. Loan deals may last from a few weeks to a full season, sometimes persisting for multiple seasons at a time.
