Richard Lind
Tan Sri Richard Allan Lind (22 August 1923 – 20 March 2021) was a civil servant who served as Sabah State Secretary from 1968 to 1976 and one of the prominent figures responsible for the erection of the Keningau Oath Stone, a monument in Sabah, Malaysia. Tenom District
The Tenom District ( ms, Daerah Tenom) is an administrative district in the Malaysian state of Sabah, part of the Interior Division which includes the districts of Beaufort, Keningau, Kuala Penyu, Nabawan, Sipitang, Tambunan and Tenom. The capital of the district is in Tenom Town.Majority Tenom is Murut while Kadazandusun as well as Lundayeh are minorities in Tenom. The Keningau Oath Stone ( ms, Batu Sumpah Keningau) is a monument in Keningau, Sabah erected to commemorate the terms in which the former British Crown Colony of North Borneo joined the former colony of Sarawak and the other states of the Federation of Malaya to form Malaysia. Sabah
Sabah () is a States and federal territories of Malaysia, state of Malaysia located in northern Borneo, in the region of East Malaysia. Sabah borders the Malaysian state of Sarawak to the southwest and the North Kalimantan province of Indonesia to the south. Likas
Likas is a sub-district in the city of Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia. Likas is known for where shopping complex, government and private hospital, universities and colleges such as Universiti Malaysia Sabah and government administration centre is located. Likas Sports Complex together with Sabah Women and Child Hospital is also located here. The area also mostly covered by housing estate such as the Likas Village. Likas is also a bustling metropolitan area where new high skyscrapers buildings have recently flourished. North Borneo
North Borneo (usually known as British North Borneo, also known as the State of North Borneo) was a British Protectorate, British protectorate in the northern part of the island of Borneo, which is present day Sabah. The territory of North Borneo was originally established by concession (territory), concessions of the Sultanates of Bruneian Empire, Brunei and Sultanate of Sulu, Sulu in 1877 and 1878 to a German Empire, German-born representative of Austria-Hungary, a businessman and diplomat, Gustav Overbeck. Overbeck had recently purchased a small tract of land in the western coast of Borneo in 1876 from American merchant Joseph William Torrey, who had promoted the territory in British Hong Kong, Hong Kong since 1866. Overbeck then transferred all his rights to Alfred Dent before withdrawing in 1879. Tun Pengiran Haji Ahmad Raffae bin Orang Kaya Pengiran Haji Omar (4 November 1908 – 18 March 1995) was the second Governor of the Malaysian state of Sabah. Personal life Tun Pengiran Haji Ahmad Raffae was born on 4 November 1908 at Sipitang, Beaufort, British North Borneo. His father was Orang Kaya Kaya Pengiran Haji Omar, a well known native officer who served as the first local Deputy Assistant District Officer of Putatan from 1915 until 1922. Tun Pengiran Haji Ahmad Raffae married Toh Puan Dayang Hajah Kusnah binti Enche Sian and they were blessed with five children. His second wife was Dayang Supinah binti Abdullah. Education Tun Pengiran Haji Ahmad Raffae studied at Putatan English Special School and later at a school in Papar District (1918 - 1922).
