Richard Fahey is a racehorse trainer, based in Malton, North Yorkshire. He has saddled over 60 Group race and Listed winners in the UK, Ireland, France and Canada. Group 1 winners include Perfect Power in the 2022 Commonwealth Cup and 2021 Prix Morny, and the Middle Park Stakes, Sands Of Mali in the 2018 British Champions Sprint Stakes and Ribchester in the 2017 Group 1 Queen Anne Stakes at Royal Ascot. Critérium De Maisons-Laffitte
The Critérium de Maisons-Laffitte is a Group 2 flat horse race in France open to two-year-old thoroughbreds. It is run at Chantilly over a distance of 1,200 metres (about 6 furlongs), and it is scheduled to take place each year in October. History The event was established in 1891 at Maisons-Laffitte, and it was originally held in September. It served as a trial for the Grand Critérium in mid-October. It was initially contested over 1,400 metres, and was shortened to 1,200 metres in 1897. The Critérium de Maisons-Laffitte was abandoned throughout World War I, with no running from 1914 to 1919. Marwan Koukash (born in Israel, December 1958) is a businessman and racehorse owner whose horses have won races including the Critérium de Maisons-Laffitte, Cesarewitch Handicap, City and Suburban Handicap, Ayr Gold Cup and Chester Cup. British Champions Sprint Stakes
The British Champions Sprint Stakes is a Group 1 flat horse race in Great Britain open to horses aged three years or older. It is run at Ascot over a distance of 6 furlongs (1,207 metres), and it is scheduled to take place each year in October. History The event was established in 1946, and it was originally called the Diadem Stakes. It was named after Diadem (foaled 1914), a winner of several of Ascot's leading races. Sands Of Mali
Sands of Mali, (foaled 10 April 2015) is a French-bred, British-trained Thoroughbred racehorse. In a career which ran from July 2017 to July 2020 he ran eighteen times and won five of his races. In 2017 he was one of the best two-year-old colts in Europe, winning two races including the Gimcrack Stakes. In the following spring, he established himself as a top class sprinter, taking the Prix Sigy and Sandy Lane Stakes before being narrowly defeated in the Commonwealth Cup. He ran poorly in late summer, but returned to form in autumn to record his biggest win in the British Champions Sprint Stakes. Group races, also known as Pattern races, or Graded races in some jurisdictions, are the highest level of races in Thoroughbred horse racing. Malton is a market town, civil parish and electoral ward in North Yorkshire, England. Mayson (horse)
Mayson (foaled 16 May 2008) is a British Thoroughbred racehorse who won the July Cup by five lengths in 2012. He is owned by David Armstrong and Cheveley Park Stud and trained by Richard Fahey. Breeding Mayson, a bay horse with a white snip was foaled on 16 May 2008 and is a son of Haydock Sprint Cup winner Invincible Spirit.
