Richard Day is an American writer, producer, director and occasional actor. He has worked as a writer/producer for several television programs, including, ''Arrested Development (TV series), Arrested Development'', ''Spin City'', ''Ellen (TV series), Ellen'', ''Roseanne (TV series), Roseanne'', ''Mad About You'' and ''Aliens in America''. In addition to his work in television, he has also written and directed his own independent films ''Girls Will Be Girls (film), Girls Will Be Girls'' and ''Straight-Jacket'' based on his own off-Broadway play. An off-Broadway theatre is any professional theatre venue in New York City with a seating capacity between 100 and 499, inclusive. These theatres are smaller than Broadway theatres, but larger than off-off-Broadway theatres, which seat fewer than 100. ''Straight-Jacket'' is a 2004 comedy film written and directed by Richard Day, based on his play. Done as a pastiche of the Rock Hudson- Doris Day romantic comedy films, ''Straight-Jacket'' tells the story of Guy Stone, a closeted gay actor in the 1950s who is modeled on Hudson. The term "arrested development" has had multiple meanings for over 200 years. Logo TV (often shortened to Logo, and stylized as Logo.) is an American basic cable channel owned by Paramount Media Networks, a division of Paramount Global. Launched in 2005, Logo was originally dedicated to lifestyle and entertainment programming targeting LGBT audiences. As of January 2016, approximately 50 million households receive Logo.
