Rich Draheim
Rich Draheim (born April 27, 1969) is an American politician and member of the Minnesota Senate. A member of the Republican Party of Minnesota, he represents District 20 in south-central Minnesota. Early life, education, and career Draheim graduated from Minnesota State University, Mankato with a Bachelor of Science in 1994. He previously owned the Westwood Marina in Kasota. He currently owns Weichert Realtors in Mankato and the New Ulm Event Center. New Ulm is a city in Brown County, Minnesota, United States. The population was 14,120 at the 2020 census. It is the county seat of Brown County. It is located on the triangle of land formed by the confluence of the Minnesota River and the Cottonwood River. The 2016 Minnesota Senate election was held in the U.S. state of Minnesota on November 8, 2016, to elect members to the Senate of the 90th and 91st Minnesota Legislatures. A primary election was held in several districts on August 9, 2016. The election coincided with the election of the other house of the Legislature, the House of Representatives. The Republican Party of Minnesota won a majority of seats, defeating the majority of the Minnesota Democratic–Farmer–Labor Party (DFL). This was the first election for the DFL since it won a majority of seats in the 2012 election, after losing a majority to the Republicans in the 2010 election. Kasota is a city within the larger Kasota Township, Le Sueur County, Minnesota, United States. The population was 714 at the 2020 census. Kevin L. Dahle (born January 24, 1960) is a Minnesota politician and former member of the Minnesota Senate. A member of the Minnesota Democratic–Farmer–Labor Party (DFL), he represented District 20, which included portions of Le Sueur, Rice, and Scott counties in the south central part of the state. Early life, education, and career Dahle attended the University of Northern Iowa in Cedar Falls, graduating in 1982, and later attended St. Mary's University in Minneapolis, receiving his M.A. in education in 2004. The Minnesota Senate is the upper house of the Legislature of the U.S. state of Minnesota.
