Ricardo Roberto Francia
Ricardo Roberto Francia (20 May 1932 – 1 November 2021) was an Argentine musician, cellist, and music arranger. Early life and education Ricardo Roberto Francia was born in Buenos Aires on 20 May 1932. He graduated from Manuel de Falla Conservatory of Music. He took cello classes from professor Ernesto Cobelli and studied harmony and counterpoint with professor Athos Palma. Career In 1952 he won a cello contest to become a member of Orquesta Sinfonica Juvenil LRA Radio Nacional which at the time was conducted by Maestro Luis Gianneo. Ricardo Francia was also a member of Cuarteto de Cuerdas del Conservatorio de Santa Cecilia. Later that year he became well acquainted with tango music and then he was hired as a cellist by Maestro Emilio Orlando's Orchestra, and successively by other orchestras with Maestros Jorge Fernandez, Florindo Sassone, Carlitos García, Angel D'Agostino, Miguel Caló, Osvaldo Fresedo, Roberto Caló and Enrique Mario Francini. Yomiuri Nippon Symphony Orchestra
The is a Japanese symphony orchestra administratively based in Tokyo. The orchestra primarily performs concerts in Tokyo at the Suntory Hall, but also gives concerts at the Tokyo Opera City Concert Hall. The orchestra also performs in Yokohama at the Yokohama Minato Mirai Hall. History The orchestra was founded in 1962 by the Yomiuri Shimbun newspaper group, the Nippon Television Network Corporation, and the Yomiuri Telecasting Corporation. Its first principal conductor was the American conductor Willis Page, who served while on leave from the Nashville Symphony Orchestra. Hiroshi Wakasugi became the orchestra's first Japanese principal conductor in 1965. Carlos Alberto Alves Garcia (born 6 September 1982), commonly known as Carlitos, is a Portuguese professional footballer who plays as a left winger. Francisco Canaro
Francisco Canaro (November 26, 1888 – December 14, 1964) was a Uruguayan violinist and tango orchestra leader. Canaro was born in San José de Mayo, Uruguay, in 1888. His parents were Italian immigrants, and later, when he was less than 10 years old, they emigrated to Buenos Aires, Argentina in the late nineteenth century. As a young man he found work in a factory, where an empty oil can, in his skilled hands, became his first violin. Performing in seedy bars initially, he ultimately forged a career that spanned many decades, and his orchestra was one of the most recorded. His introduction to the tango came by orquesta típica leader Vicente Greco in 1908, and in 1912 he composed "Pinta brava" ("Fierce Look"). Canaro composed the music for the 1915 Argentine classic film '' Nobleza gaucha''. Manuel de Falla y Matheu (, 23 November 187614 November 1946) was an Andalusian Spanish composer and pianist. Along with Isaac Albéniz, Francisco Tárrega, and Enrique Granados, he was one of Spain's most important musicians of the first half of the 20th century. He has a claim to being Spain's greatest composer of the 20th century, although the number of pieces he composed was relatively modest. Biography Falla was born Manuel María de los Dolores Falla y Matheu in Cádiz. He was the son of José María Falla, a Valencian, and María Jesús Matheu, from Catalonia. Early years Born in the city of San Fernando in the province of Buenos Aires, Argentina and 20 km north the city of Buenos Aires, Francini spent his childhood and adolescence in the city of Campana on the Paraná River. Here he studied the violin with the German violinist Juan Ehlert and in 1933, when Carlos Gardel gave a concert in Campana, Francini and his friend Héctor Stamponi, the same age as him, presented Gardel with a tango which the friends, had composed together.
