Ricardo Powell
Ricardo Lloyd Powell (born 16 December 1978) is a former Jamaican cricketer who played for West Indies at international level. He represented Jamaica national cricket team as well as Trinidad and Tobago national cricket team from 1997 to 2005. Powell was a member of the West Indies team that won the 2004 ICC Champions Trophy. Domestic career Powell was 19 when he made his first-class debut in the 1996–96 season and followed it up with a List A debut in the following year in 1998–99 season. Powell moved from Jamaica in 2003 to his wife's native country of Trinidad. Powell took a hiatus from the game after his wife was diagnosed with breast cancer. St Elizabeth, Jamaica
Saint Elizabeth, one of Jamaica's largest parishes, is located in the southwest of the island, in the county of Cornwall. Its capital, Black River, is located at the mouth of the Black River, the widest on the island. History Saint Elizabeth originally included most of the southwest part of the island, but Westmoreland was taken from it in 1703, and in 1814 a part of Manchester. Viv Richards
Sir Isaac Vivian Alexander Richards (born 7 March 1952) is an Antiguan retired cricketer who represented the West Indies cricket team between 1974 and 1991. Batting generally at number three in a dominant West Indies side, Richards is widely regarded as one of the greatest batsmen of all time. Richards made his test debut in 1974 against India along with Gordon Greenidge. His best years were between 1976 and 1983 where he averaged a remarkable 66.51 with the bat in test cricket. Sir Cuthbert Gordon Greenidge (born 1 May 1951) is a Barbadian, former first-class cricketer, who represented the West Indies in Test and One-day Cricket for 17 years. Greenidge is regarded worldwide as one of the greatest and most destructive opening batsmen in cricket history. In 2009, Greenidge was inducted into the ICC Cricket Hall of Fame. Strike rate refers to two different statistics in the sport of cricket. Batting strike rate is a measure of how quickly a batter achieves the primary goal of batting, namely scoring runs, measured in runs per 100 balls; higher is better. Bowling strike rate is a measure of how quickly a bowler achieves the primary goal of bowling, namely taking wickets (i.e. getting batters out)measured in balls per wicket; lower is better. For bowlers, economy rate is a more frequently discussed statistic. Century (cricket)
In cricket, a century is a score of 100 or more runs in a single innings by a batsman. The term is also included in "century partnership" which occurs when two batsmen add 100 runs to the team total when they are batting together.
