Ricardo Dias
Ricardo Jorge dos Santos Dias (born 25 February 1991) is a Portuguese professional footballer who plays as a defensive midfielder for AVS Futebol SAD. Club career Born in Aveiro, Dias joined FC Porto's youth system at the age of 15. On 17 October 2009, still a junior, he made his competitive debut for the first team, coming on as a second-half substitute in a 4–0 home win against Sertanense F.C. in the third round of the Taça de Portugal. He split the 2010–11 season on loan, to G.D. Tourizense and C.D. Santa Clara. Dias signed a two-year contract with S.C. Beira-Mar on 26 July 2011. He played his first match in the Primeira Liga on 6 November, featuring the entire 2–1 home victory over C.D. Feirense. He finished his debut campaign with a further ten games, in a 13th-place finish. Cap (sport)
In sport, a cap is a player's appearance in a game at international level. The term dates from the practice in the United Kingdom of awarding a cap to every player in an international match of rugby football and association football. In the early days of football, the concept of each team wearing a set of matching shirts had not been universally adopted, so each side would distinguish itself from the other by wearing a specific sort of cap. An early illustration of the first international football match between Scotland and England in 1872 shows the Scottish players wearing cowls, and the English wearing a variety of school caps. Estádio Cidade de Coimbra is a stadium in Coimbra, Portugal. This stadium belongs to the Municipality of Coimbra and is mainly used by the Académica de Coimbra's football team. The stadium was rebuilt, expanded, and modernized to host some UEFA Euro 2004 matches. ''Record'' is a Portuguese sports newspaper, founded by Manuel Dias, published in Lisbon. Although it covers most sports, football is the focal point of it, and almost always is the only sport referred to on the cover. History and profile ''Record'' was founded by Manuel Dias. Dias was a newspaper vendor as well an athlete. Dias participated the 1936 Summer Olympics in Berlin, Germany. In 1949, Dias would enter the national lottery in Portugal and would win 40 contos. The 2010–11 Primeira Liga (also known as Liga ZON Sagres for sponsorship reasons) was the 77th season of the Primeira Liga, the top professional league for Portuguese association football clubs. It began on 15 August 2010 and ended on 14 May 2011. A total of 16 teams contested the league, 14 of which already took part in the previous season and two of which were promoted from the Liga de Honra. Benfica were the defending champions but finished runners-up to Porto, who won their 25th league title in the club's first-ever unbeaten season. Porto's forward Hulk was the top scorer with 23 goals. Teams Belenenses and Leixões were relegated at the end of the 2009–10 season after finishing in the bottom two places of the table. The Primeira Liga (; English: Premier League, also written as Liga Portugal 1), also known as Liga Portugal Bwin for sponsorship reasons, is the top level of the Portuguese football league system. Organised and supervised by the Liga Portugal, it is contested by 18 teams since the 2014–15 season, with the three lowest placed teams relegated to the Liga Portugal 2 and replaced by the top-three non-reserve teams from this division.
