Rhythm Corps
Rhythm Corps is an alternative rock band from Detroit, Michigan beginning in the 1980s. They released two extended play (EP) records and two full-length albums. They are most well known for their hit "Common Ground." History Rhythm Method formed in 1981 with Michael Persh, Greg Apro (né Aprahamian), Davey Holmbo (a/k/a David Adamson), and Richie Lovsin. As Rhythm Method, the band played in the Detroit Metro area and attracted a local following. The extended play ''Paquet De Cinq'' is their only release as Rhythm Method (later runs of the EP called the band Rhythm Corps). Pasha Records was a record label founded by Spencer Proffer, part of the Pasha Music Corporation. The Psychedelic Furs
The Psychedelic Furs are a post-punk band founded in London in February 1977. Led by lead vocalist Richard Butler and his brother Tim Butler on bass guitar, the Psychedelic Furs are one of the many acts spawned from the British post-punk scene. Their music went through several phases, from an initially austere art rock sound, to later touching on new wave and hard rock. The band had several hits in their early career. In 1986, filmmaker John Hughes used their song "Pretty in Pink" for his film of the same name. They went on hiatus after they finished touring in 1992, but resumed in 2000 and continue to perform live. The band released '' Made of Rain'', their first studio album in nearly three decades, on 31 July 2020. The Jam were an English mod revival/ punk rock band formed in 1972 at Sheerwater Secondary School in Woking, Surrey. The Romantics are an American rock band formed in 1977 in Detroit. The band is often put under the banner of new wave and power pop. They were influenced by 1950s American rock and roll, Detroit's MC5, the Stooges, early Bob Seger, Motown R&B, 1960s North American garage rock as well as the British Invasion rockers.
