Pasha Records
Pasha Records was a record label founded by Spencer Proffer, part of the Pasha Music Corporation. With distribution through CBS Records, Pasha was the home to acts such as Quiet Riot, Kick Axe, Outlaws, Isle of Man, Colortone, Billy Thorpe, Randy Bishop and Rhythm Corps. The Pasha Music Corporation was formed in 1978 by songwriter and record producer, Spencer Proffer, to develop and produce multi dimensional recording artists and performers. Pasha owned two unique and highly acclaimed recording studios at 5615 Melrose Avenue in Hollywood, California, USA, the Pasha Music House (1979-1988), designed with Chief Engineer Larry Brown, Sound Designer Ed Bannon, engineers included Jeff Clark, Duane Baron, Mike Sanders. Sony Music Entertainment (SME), also known as simply Sony Music, is an American multinational music company. Kick Axe
Kick Axe is a Canadian heavy metal band from Regina, Saskatchewan. Influenced by rambunctious arena rock from the 70s and early 80s, the group is perhaps best known for their 1984 album ''Vices'', praised by publications such as AllMusic for its "down-and-dirty guitar riffs" and notably managing to crack the American market. The band achieved moderate commercial success in the mid-1980s on the strength of the singles "Heavy Metal Shuffle", "On the Road to Rock", "With a Little Help from My Friends" and "Rock the World". Following the release of their 1986 album '' Rock the World'', Kick Axe disbanded and remained on hiatus for many years. In 2004, they re-emerged with the album '' Kick Axe IV''. Rhythm Corps
Rhythm Corps is an alternative rock band from Detroit, Michigan beginning in the 1980s. They released two extended play (EP) records and two full-length albums. They are most well known for their hit "Common Ground." History Rhythm Method formed in 1981 with Michael Persh, Greg Apro (né Aprahamian), Davey Holmbo (a/k/a David Adamson), and Richie Lovsin. As Rhythm Method, the band played in the Detroit Metro area and attracted a local following. Outlaws are an American southern rock band from Tampa, Florida. They are best known for their 1975 hit "There Goes Another Love Song" and extended guitar jam "Green Grass and High Tides" from their 1975 debut album, plus their 1980 cover of the Stan Jones classic " (Ghost) Riders in the Sky". History Early years (1967–1971) Outlaws were formed in Tampa, Florida, United States, in 1967 by guitarists/vocalists Frank Guidry, Hughie Thomasson, Herbie Pino and Hobie O'Brien. Quiet Riot
Quiet Riot is an American Heavy metal music, heavy metal band founded in Los Angeles in 1973 by guitarist Randy Rhoads and bassist Kelly Garni. The original lineup featured Rhoads and Garni with lead vocalist Kevin DuBrow and drummer Drew Forsyth, though that version of the band was mired in turmoil that would eventually see Garni fired for making death threats towards DuBrow. Their most commercially successful lineup consisted of DuBrow alongside guitarist Carlos Cavazo, bassist Rudy Sarzo and drummer Frankie Banali, and in 1983 released their breakthrough album ''Metal Health'', which is known for being the first heavy metal album to top the ''Billboard'' album chart. Spencer Proffer (born Salek Profesorski, December 25, 1948) is an American media and record producer. He is the CEO of Meteor 17, a convergence media production company based in Los Angeles, California, United States. Proffer produced the first heavy metal record, Quiet Riot's ''Metal Health'', to reach the top of the pop charts, selling six million albums. His '' Children of the Sun'' collaboration with Billy Thorpe spawned a computer-animated laser choreography of an album in planetariums across North America.
