For urban centres outside metropolitan areas that are a similar focal point for their region, but on a smaller scale, the concept of the Regiopolis and the related concepts of ''regiopolitan area'' or ''regio'' were introduced by urban and regional planning professors in 2006. List Of Technology Centers
This is a list of technology centers throughout the world. Government planners and business networks often incorporate "silicon" or "valley" into place names to describe their own areas as a result of the success of Silicon Valley in California. Metrics may be applied to measure qualitative differences between these places, including: * How much and to what extent public and/or private research and development (R&D) funds are spent in the zones * What percentage of local employment is technology related * If the zone is mainly government funded or is mainly corporate driven (or is it a mix of both) * If mainly corporate, how much revenue and profit and which corporations have headquarters there * If mainly corporate, how much venture capital has been made available to companies in the zone * What supporting higher educational institutions (e.g., universities or colleges) are located in nearby Globally prominent clusters * Silicon Valley: Originating in Stanford Universit ...

SAP AG
Sap is a fluid transported in xylem cells (vessel elements or tracheids) or phloem sieve tube elements of a plant. These cells transport water and nutrients throughout the plant. Sap is distinct from latex, resin, or cell sap; it is a separate substance, separately produced, and with different components and functions. Insect honeydew is called sap, particularly when it falls from trees, but is only the remains of eaten sap and other plant parts. Types of sap Saps may be broadly divided into two types: xylem sap and phloem sap. Xylem sap Xylem sap (pronounced ) consists primarily of a watery solution of hormones, mineral elements and other nutrients. Transport of sap in xylem is characterized by movement from the roots toward the leaves. Over the past century, there has been some controversy regarding the mechanism of xylem sap transport; today, most plant scientists agree that the cohesion-tension theory best explains this process, but multiforce theories that hy ...
