Ardabil
Ardabil (, fa, اردبیل, Ardabīl or ''Ardebīl'') is a city in northwestern Iran, and the capital of Ardabil Province. As of the 2022 census, Ardabil's population was 588,000. The dominant majority in the city are ethnic Iranian Azerbaijanis and the primary language of the people is Azerbaijani. Ardabil is known for its trade in silk and carpets. The Imperial State of Iran ( fa, کشور شاهنشاهی ایران, ), also known as the Imperial State of Persia, was the official name of the Iranian state under the rule of the Pahlavi dynasty. Mehdi Mirza Mehdi Tehrani (Persian: مهدی تهرانی) (born March 13, 1970 in Tehran) is an Iranian journalist, historian, film critic, and a former Marines and Commando in the Iran-Iraq War. As an academic journalist and film critic, he usually wrote for two Iranian newspapers: ''Ettela'at'' and ''Hamshahri''. In addition to 3 decades of film critic and historiography in the of film and cinema, he is currently a professor of film studies at the University of Tehran Fine Arts Campus.
