''Rez'' is a musical rail shooter developed by United Game Artists and published by Sega for the Dreamcast and PlayStation 2. It was released in Japan in 2001, followed by releases to the United States and Europe in 2002. The game was ported to Xbox 360 as ''Rez HD'' by Q Entertainment and HexaDrive in 2008. A virtual reality-compatible expanded version dubbed ''Rez Infinite'' was co-developed and released through 2016, 2017, and 2020 by Enhance Games, Resonair and Monstars for PlayStation 4, Microsoft Windows, Android and Oculus Quest. Following a hacker's journey into a malfunctioning AI system, the game has players controlling their avatar as they shoot down numerous enemies. The Rez
''The Rez'' is a Canadian drama television series, which aired on CBC Television from 1996 to 1998. Bruce McDonald and Norman Jewison were executive producers of the series, which chronicled life in an Ojibway community. The series is based on the short story collection '' Dance Me Outside'' by W. P. Kinsella and its 1994 film adaptation by McDonald. It was cancelled after two seasons. ''Gex'' is a platform video game video game series, developed by Crystal Dynamics, that details the adventures of an anthropomorphic gecko named Gex. He has served as the mascot of Crystal Dynamics, appearing on their company logo for several years until 2000. In the North American version, Gex is voiced by comedian Dana Gould; the United Kingdom version features Gould, Leslie Phillips and Danny John-Jules as Gex's voice. Gex was voiced by Mitsuo Senda for the Japanese release of the second game. The games are largely inspired by American TV culture. "Rez" is a non-album track by British electronic music group Underworld, originally released in 1993 in the UK. It became a popular club hit and live track in Underworld's sets, despite the fact it could not be found on an album. However, it did appear on many compilations, b-sides, and even appeared on a bonus disc for ''Second Toughest in the Infants'' (1996). The first promo release of the single was pressed onto pink vinyl, and is highly collectible as it has an exclusive non-album track, "Why, Why, Why". The song's obscurity led to many bootleg pressings of the song before it was officially re-issued as part of '' 1992–2012 The Anthology''. The more common release has the single "Cowgirl" as its b-side. This version also received a limited white vinyl pressing in the US. Rez Band
Resurrection Band, also known as Rez Band or REZ, was a Christian rock band formed in 1972. They were part of the Jesus People USA Christian community in Chicago and most of its members have continued in that community to this day. Known for their blend of blues-rock and hard rock, Resurrection Band is credited as one of the forerunners of the Christian metal genre. ''Christianity Today'' called them "the most influential band in Christian music history." Following their debut in 1978, the band's greatest popularity was during the early 1980s, but later in the decade they received some crossover success when they had two music videos featured on MTV. An Indian reservation is an area of land held and governed by a federally recognized Native American tribal nation whose government is accountable to the United States Bureau of Indian Affairs and not to the state government in which it is located. Some of the country's 574 federally recognized tribes govern more than one of the 326 Indian reservations in the United States, while some share reservations, and others have no reservation at all. Historical piecemeal land allocations under the Dawes Act facilitated sales to non–Native Americans, resulting in some reservations becoming severely fragmented, with pieces of tribal and privately held land being treated as separate enclaves. Rez dog (short for reservation dog) is usually a term for outdoor, stray, and feral dogs living on Indigenous reservations in the United States and Canada. The term has taken on many connotations, and has to some extent become an emblem of and metaphor for reservations, reservation life, and Native Americans in general. Rez Abbasi (born August 27, 1965) is a Pakistan-born American jazz guitarist, composer, and record producer based in New York City. Biography Abbasi was born in Karachi, Pakistan. When he was four, his family moved to Los Angeles, and at eleven he started learning guitar. He spent his early teens playing in rock bands. Inspired at a concert featuring vocalist Ella Fitzgerald and guitarist Joe Pass, he began to pursue jazz and classical music. Abbasi studied guitar at the University of Southern California and at the Manhattan School of Music. Rez Gardi (, ; born 11 August) is a Kurdish New Zealander international lawyer and human rights activist. She was awarded the Young New Zealander of the Year for 2017 for her services to human rights. Life Gardi was born in a United Nations refugee camp in Quetta, Pakistan as her parents fled from persecution in their homeland of Kurdistan. Gardi's mother fled the Kurdish region of Iraq when her village Sedakan was attacked by chemical weapons during the Anfal campaign. Gardi's grandmother and two aunts were killed in an attack by Saddam Hussein's Ba'ath regime and her grandfather was disabled. Gardi's father is from the Hakkari region in the Kurdish region of Turkey and his family fled to Iraqi Kurdistan due to oppressive treatment by the Turkish Government.
