Twiztid is an American hip hop duo from Detroit, Michigan, known for both their horror-themed lyrics and rock influenced sound. Formed in 1997, Twiztid is composed of rappers Jamie "Madrox" Spaniolo and Paul "Monoxide" Methric. Spaniolo and Methric are also members of the group House of Krazees with Bryan "The R.O.C." Unlikely Prescription
''Unlikely Prescription'' is the fifteenth studio album by Twiztid. Released on September 10, 2021, the album marked a stylistic change in the duo's music. Previously, Twiztid had performed mainly rap with only certain rock elements thrown in (such as horrorcore); however, on ''Unlikely Prescription'', they ventured into a purely rock-oriented direction. The album featured rock and metal guests such as Spencer Charnas (Ice Nine Kills), Dani Filth (Cradle of Filth), Rich Ward (Fozzy), and Matt Brandyberry (From Ashes to New). Background In 2020, Twiztid had released two albums in the same year, April's '' Mad Season'' and November's '' Revelashen''. Both albums intentionally received little promotion, with the former being released on the same day that it was announced. Paul Robert Methric (born July 14, 1973) is an American rapper and producer from Detroit, Michigan, also known as Monoxide of the rap group Twiztid. Early life Paul Methric began rapping as a teenager while he was in high school and listened to Bon Jovi for inspiration of lyrics he said. In school, Methric and friend Jamie Spaniolo would freestyle with other kids, though the two felt they were never great at promptly coming up with rhymes. Both recall going to school with late-rapper Proof and seeing him freestyle, describing him as "the mecca of freestyling". Methric and Spaniolo also watched freestyle battles at the Hip Hop Shop on a weekly basis.
