Reuben Wilson (cricketer)
Reuben Brian Wilson (born 17 September 2006) is an Irish cricketer. He has played for Leinster Lightning in Irish inter-provincial cricket, as well as representing Ireland at U-19 level. Domestic Career Wilson began his young career at Phoenix Cricket Club in Dublin. At the age of 12 he was announced as the winner of Cricket Leinster's 2018 "Find A Fast Bowler" competition, an award previously won by Irish international Josh Little. Having moved to YMCA in 2020 and given a good performance in the 2022 Under-19 Cricket World Cup, Wilson was called up to the Leinster Lightning squad for the first time in July 2022. He made his professional debut aged 16 on the 16 May 2023 in the opening List A game of the 2023 Inter-Provincial Cup against Northern Knights where he took 1/80 in a loss. Bowler (cricket)
Bowling, in cricket, is the action of propelling the ball toward the wicket defended by a batter. A player skilled at bowling is called a ''bowler''; a bowler who is also a competent batter is known as an all-rounder. Bowling the ball is distinguished from ''throwing'' the ball by a strictly specified biomechanical definition, which restricts the angle of extension of the elbow. 2022 Under-19 Cricket World Cup
The 2022 ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup was an international limited-overs cricket tournament that was held in the West Indies in January and February 2022 with sixteen teams taking part. It was the fourteenth edition of the Under-19 Cricket World Cup, and the first that was held in the West Indies. Bangladesh were the defending champions. In March 2021, Cricket West Indies confirmed that the format would be the same as previous editions, with teams competing to progress to the Plate and Super League phases of the tournament. Cricket is a bat-and-ball game played between two teams of eleven players on a field at the centre of which is a pitch with a wicket at each end, each comprising two bails balanced on three stumps. Munster Reds
Munster Reds is an Irish inter-provincial cricket team based in Cork, in the province of Munster. In April 2017, Cricket Ireland approved the participation of the team in the Interprovincial Twenty20 Cup, the highest level of T20 domestic cricket in Ireland. They joined Leinster Lightning, North West Warriors and Northern Knights in the 2017 tournament. They played their first match in the Inter-Provincial Trophy on 26 May 2017, and won their first match, against North West Warriors, on 6 July 2018. Northern Knights (cricket Team)
MTB Northern Knights is a first-class provincial cricket team in Ireland. Along with the North West Warriors and Leinster Lightning it makes up the Inter-Provincial Championship, and with those teams and Munster Reds makes up the Interprovincial One-Day Trophy & Interprovincial Twenty20 Cup. The team represents Northern Cricket Union of Ireland which in turn covers most of eastern, southern and much of western Ulster. The 2023 Inter-Provincial Cup, also known as 2023 Men's Rario Inter-Provincial Series for sponsorship reasons, was the 11th edition of the Inter-Provincial Cup, a List A cricket competition that took place in Ireland during 2023. It was the seventh edition of the competition to be played with List A status. In May 2023, Cricket Ireland confirmed the fixtures for the tournament. Munster Reds are the defending champions, having won the tournament for the first time in 2022. In the opening match, Munster Reds began their title defence with a six wicket loss against North West Warriors. YMCA Cricket Club is a cricket club in Dublin, Ireland, playing in Division 1 of the Leinster Senior League. The club was established in 1890 and acquired its current grounds at Claremont Road in 1911. Senior status was achieved in 1934 and the club won the Leinster Senior League for the first time in 1955.
