Rethroned
''Rethroned'' is the second studio album by Finnish symphonic metal band Northern Kings. It was released on November 19, 2008, as a CD in Finland and to download via the European iTunes Store. Upon release, the album entered the Finnish charts at number 16. The album was released in Japan on February 25, 2009, with the Michael Jackson cover "They Don't Care About Us" as a bonus track. The iTunes edition included also the orchestral version of "They Don't Care About Us". The first single and music video released off this album was the Seal cover "Kiss from a Rose" (originally from the soundtrack of the film ''Batman Forever''). The album also includes two other movie-based tracks: "Training Montage" (from ''Rocky IV'') and "A View to a Kill" (from the 1985 James Bond 007 film of the same title). Northern Kings
Northern Kings is a Finnish symphonic metal cover band, cover supergroup, made up of four well known musicians: Jarkko Ahola from Teräsbetoni, ex-Dreamtale, Marko Hietala from Tarot (band), Tarot, ex-Nightwish, Tony Kakko from Sonata Arctica and Juha-Pekka Leppäluoto from Charon (band), Charon and Harmaja (band), Harmaja. Their first single, "We Don't Need Another Hero" (originally performed by Tina Turner), was released in 2007, followed by their debut album ''Reborn (Northern Kings album), Reborn''. In late 2008, their second album ''Rethroned'' was released, headlined by the single "Kiss from a Rose" (originally performed by Seal (musician), Seal). Tony Kakko
Toni Kristian "Tony" Kakko (born 16 May 1975) is a Finnish musician, composer and vocalist. He is known as the vocalist, primary songwriter, and creative lead of the band Sonata Arctica since 1996. Biography Kakko was born in Kemi, Finland and joined Sonata Arctica in 1996, after studying keyboards for two years and singing informally in local festivals. He initially performed both the keyboards and the vocals, but after the release of the band's first album, decided to concentrate on singing with the joining of Mikko Härkin. The bands Queen, Stratovarius, Children of Bodom and Nightwish are amongst his biggest musical influences. Kakko also states the season of winter as one of his influences. His singing style is clean and generally high-pitched. He sings in the tenors range, and has begun to scream on later releases with Sonata, especially The Days of Grays, but also some screams in the background on Unia. ''Reborn'' is the first full-length album by Finnish heavy metal cover supergroup Northern Kings, released on October 31, 2007. The album sold over 17,000 copies in Finland alone and thus was certified gold. Two singles were released from this album: " We Don't Need Another Hero" (Tina Turner cover, from the soundtrack of ''Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome'') and "Hello" ( Lionel Richie cover). Marko Tapani "Marco" Hietala (born 14 January 1966) is a Finnish heavy metal vocalist, bassist and songwriter. Internationally, he is best known as the former bassist, male vocalist and secondary composer to Tuomas Holopainen, of the symphonic metal band Nightwish. He was also the vocalist and bassist as well as composer and lyricist for the heavy metal band Tarot. He is also a member of the supergroup Northern Kings, and portrayed one of the main characters in Ayreon's 2013 album '' The Theory of Everything''. "Nothing Compares 2 U" is a song written and composed by Prince for his side project, The Family; the song featured on their eponymous 1985 debut album. The song features lyrics exploring feelings of longing from the point of view of an abandoned lover.
