Repvåg ( sme, Reiffváhki) is a small fishing village in Nordkapp Municipality in Troms og Finnmark county, Norway. The village is located along the western shore of the Porsangerfjorden on the mainland Porsanger Peninsula. The fishing village now has about 14 residents, but historically, it was one of the main ports and trading places in Finnmark county, especially during the Pomor trade with Russia which existed until the 1917 revolution in Russia. Repvåg Chapel is located in the village, serving the people in the southern part of Nordkapp municipality. Finnmark

Pomor Trade
Pomor trade (from rus, Поморье, r=pomorje, p=pɐˈmorʲjɪ; ''po'' «by» and ''more'' «ocean»; «area by the ocean», the same word is the basis for Pomerania), is the trade carried out between the Pomors of Northwest Russia and the people along the coast of Northern Norway, as far south as Bodø. The trade went on from 1740 until the Russian revolution in 1917. The pomor trade began as a barter trade between people in the area, trading grain products from Russia with fish from North Norway as the main trade. With time it developed into a regular trade against money: in fact the ruble was used as currency in several places in North Norway. Porsanger Peninsula
The Porsanger Peninsula ( no, Porsangerhalvøya) is a peninsula in Troms og Finnmark county, Norway. The large peninsula sits between the Altafjorden and the Porsangerfjorden and includes parts of the municipalities of Alta, Hammerfest, Måsøy, Nordkapp, and Porsanger. Stabbursdalen National Park lies on the southern end of the peninsula. A fishing village is a village, usually located near a fishing ground, with an economy based on catching fish and harvesting seafood.
