North Cape, Norway
North Cape ( no, Nordkapp; sme, Davvenjárga) is a cape on the northern coast of the island of Magerøya in Northern Norway. The cape is in Nordkapp Municipality in Troms og Finnmark county, Norway. The European route E69 highway has its northern terminus at North Cape, which makes it the northernmost point in Europe that can be accessed by car and makes the E69 the northernmost public road in Europe. The plateau is a popular tourist attraction. The cape includes a with a large flat plateau on top, where visitors, weather permitting, can watch the midnight sun and views of the Barents Sea to the north. Kunnskapsforlaget () is a Norwegian publishing company based in Oslo. Kunnskapsforlaget was established in 1975, as a partnership between H. Aschehoug & Co. (W. Nygaard) and Gyldendal Norsk Forlag. Finnmark (; se, Finnmárku ; fkv, Finmarku; fi, Ruija ; russian: Финнмарк) was a county in the northern part of Norway, and it is scheduled to become a county again in 2024. Gjesværstappan is a group of high, steep-sided, grass-covered islands which are located north of the island village of Gjesvær in Nordkapp Municipality in Troms og Finnmark county, Norway. The three main islands are ''Storstappen'', ''Kjerkestappen'', and ''Bukkstappen''. Storstappan rises to a height of above sea level and has a peninsula called ''Stauren'' that rises to . Magerøya
Magerøya ( sme, Máhkarávju) is a large island in Troms og Finnmark county, in the extreme northern part of Norway. The island lies along the Barents Sea in Nordkapp Municipality, just north of the Porsanger Peninsula. The mouth of Porsangerfjorden lies off the east coast of the island. Magerøya has an area of and the highest elevation on the island is the mountain Gråkallfjellet. The most northern point on the island is also the northernmost point in Norway outside Svalbard: Knivskjellodden. The island features a bleak, barren, tundra-covered landscape devoid of any trees (except for a few small pockets of mountain birch), with steep cliffs along the coast, and dramatic mountainscapes in the interior. Helnes Lighthouse
Helnes Lighthouse ( no, Helnes fyr) is a coastal lighthouse located on the northeastern coast of the island of Magerøya in Nordkapp Municipality in Troms og Finnmark county, Norway. The lighthouse sits on the western side of the mouth of the large Porsangerfjorden, about east of the village of Kamøyvær and about northeast of the town of Honningsvåg. The lighthouse was established in 1908, destroyed during World War II in 1944, rebuilt from 1946–1948, and automated in 2004. A radio beacon was established in 1955 and it emits a racon signal that is a Morse code letter N (– •). The tall white concrete tower has a light on top at an elevation of above sea level.
