René Perin
René Perin (1 November 1774 – 9 May 1858) was a 19th-century French playwright, publisher, translator and novelist. Biography A lawyer and sous-préfet of Montluçon during the Hundred Days, he resigned from his positions when the Bourbons returned to power. He used several pseudonyms such as René de Biborium-Chateauterne or René Biborium de Chateauterne as a writer. His plays were presented on the most important Parisian stages of his time including the Théâtre de l'Ambigu-Comique, the Théâtre du Vaudeville, the Théâtre de l'Odéon, the Théâtre de la Gaîté, and the Théâtre des Variétés. For thirty years he was a collaborator to the '' Moniteur'', and he also wrote historical and geographical studies. Paul Siraudin
Pierre-Paul-Désiré Siraudin (18 December 1812 – 8 September 1883) was a French playwright and librettist. He also used the pen names Paul de Siraudin de Sancy, Paul Siraudin de Sancy and M. Malperché. Biography He wrote many plays, mainly comedies and vaudevilles written in collaboration, notably with Alfred Delacour and Lambert-Thiboust. He also authored librettos for successful operettas and opéras-comiques, including ''La fille de Madame Angot'' (1872) in collaboration with Clairville and Victor Koning with music by Charles Lecocq. In 1860, Siraudin opened a confectionery shop — the Maison Siraudin — at the corner of the Rue de la Paix and the Place Vendôme. Élie Sauvage, full name Élie François Victor Sauvage (13 May 1814 – 30 December 1871), was a 19th-century French playwright and novelist. He was the son of Angélique-Renée Rotureau and René Sauvage, a trader in Mayenne. He collaborated to the newspaper ''La Mayenne'' and began his literary career with a volume of verse. Emmanuel Théaulon
Marie-Emmanuel-Guillaume-Marguerite Théaulon de Lambert (14 August 1787, Aigues-Mortes – 16 November 1841) was a French playwright. A customs inspector, then an inspector of military hospitals, he composed an ''Ode'' on the birth of the King of Rome which brought him thanks from Napoleon himself. In 1814 he sang for the Bourbons and put on his first play, ''Les Clefs de Paris, ou le Dessert d’Henri IV'' (The Keys of Paris, or the Deservings of Henry IV), in their honour. Nicolas Brazier
Nicolas Brazier (17 February 1783, Paris - 18 February 1838) was a French chansonnier and vaudevillist. Life Son of a boarding school master and author of school manuals, Brazier's education was however strongly neglected due to the French Revolution. At first a jeweller's apprentice, then employed in the "Droits réunis" (the French indirect taxes administration of the time), he showed a talent for verse and was encouraged and guided by Armand Gouffé. Following his first success at the Théâtre des Délassements-Comiques, in 1803, he left his job to devote himself to chansons and to the theatre, following courses at school to fill in the gaps in his education. His witty, spirited and lively chansons often proved popular, though the vulgarity of his style has led to them being forgotten. The Société du Caveau keeps their memory alive. Adrien Henri Payn (Paris, 30 July 1800 – Montévrain, 3 October 1855) was a 19th-century French novelist and playwright. His plays were presented on the most important Parisian stages of the 19th-century, including the Théâtre de l'Ambigu-Comique, the Théâtre du Gymnase-Dramatique and the Théâtre de la Porte-Saint-Martin. Alexandre-Joseph Le Roy de Bacre, born in Paris, was a 19th-century French playwright. Biography He first made a career in the army as an officer before devoting himself to theater. He attended the military school in Ventimiglia and served as a lieutenant during the campaigns of 1792-1793 and was Dumouriez's aide-de-camp, following him during his flight to Austria.
