René Antonsen
René Antonsen (born 4 March 1992) is a Danish handball player for Aalborg Håndbold and the Danish national team. He made international debut on the Danish national team on 12 June 2019, against Ukraine. He played most of his senior career at Aalborg Håndbold where he is the team captain. Here he won the Danish handball league in 2013, 2017, 2019, 2020 and 2021. He also won the 2018 and 2021 Danish Men's Handball Cup. Danish Men's Handball Cup
The Danish Men's Handball cup ( da, Landspokalturneringen i håndbold for herrer) is the nationwide cup tournament for men's handball teams in Denmark. It’s also known as Santander Cup for sponsorship reasons. The competition has been played annually since 1964. Tournament structure The initial 6 rounds are managed by the three regional federations with the DHF taking over the tournament at the round of 16. It ultimately results in a final four event scheduled between Christmas and New Year. The winner of the tournament qualify for the annual Super Cup held during the summer where they meet the season's league winner. If the same team wins both the league and the cup, the losing cup finalist will participate as the second team in the Super Cup. Handball (also known as team handball, European handball or Olympic handball) is a team sport in which two teams of seven players each (six outcourt players and a goalkeeper) pass a ball using their hands with the aim of throwing it into the goal of the other team.
