René Syler (born February 17, 1963), is an American broadcast television journalist and author. Syler co-hosted CBS News' ''The Early Show'' from October 2002, when it debuted in its four-anchor format, until she left the program in December 2006. Owned by Sarkes Tarzian, Inc., the station has studios on Energy Way in Reno, and its transmitter is located on Slide Mountain in unincorporated Washoe County.
