''Rendu Pondatti Kaavalkaaran'' () is a 1992 Indian Tamil language comedy film directed by Relangi Narasimha Rao. The film stars Anand Babu in a dual role, Rohini, Vaidehi and Devipriya. The film, produced by P. Balaraman, had musical score by Raj–Koti and was released on 7 February 1992. The film was a remake of director's own Telugu film ''Iddaru Pellala Muddula Police''. Plot Krishnan (Anand Babu) is an honest police constable who has two wives Rukmini ( Rohini) and Satyabhama (Vaidehi). However, his two wives hate each other. Krishnan is transferred to another city because of his honesty and the fact that he often refuses to do his superiors drudgery. In the past, Krishnan married Rukmini who thought that he was a Sub-inspector of police. When she realized his real job, she left him alone. Relangi Narasimha Rao (born 30 September 1951) is an Indian film director and screenwriter who predominently works in Telugu cinema. He is well known for his comedy films, especially his collaborations with actors Chandra Mohan and Rajendra Prasad. Arumugam Mohanasundaram (8 February 1928 – 16 September 2012), popularly known as Loose Mohan and Raja Gopalakrishnan, was an Indian actor who had acted as a comedian in over 1000 Tamil films. He is credited with popularizing Madras Bashai, a Cockney of Tamil language spoken in Chennai city. Early life Born in Kanchipuram, son of old actor "Loose Arumugam", Mohan migrated to Madras at an early age and debuted at age 16 in the 1944 film ''Harichandra'' as P. U. Chinnappa's son. ''Kalki'' is a Tamil language, Tamil-language Weekly (news magazine), weekly magazine published from Chennai, India. The magazine was established by Kalki Krishnamurthy, a popular Tamil language, Tamil novelist and Indian freedom fighter, in 1941. Kalki Sadasivam, T Sadasivam was the magazine's co-founder. Minmini (born P. J. Rosily) is a South Indian film playback singer. She is best remembered for the song "Chinna Chinna Aasai" from ''Roja'', the debut work of film composer A. R. Rahman, which was dubbed in Hindi as "Choti Si Asha". Most of her songs are in Tamil, most of them composed by Ilaiyaraaja and A. R. Rahman. Vairamuthu Ramasamy (born 13 July 1953) is an Indian lyricist, poet, and novelist working in the Tamil film industry. He is a prominent figure in the Tamil literary world. A master's graduate from the Pachaiyappa's College in Chennai, he first worked as a translator, while also being a published poet. He entered the Tamil film industry in the year 1980, with the film ''Nizhalgal'', an Ilaiyaraaja musical, directed by Bharathiraja.
