Renate Kretschmar-Fischer
Renate Kretschmar-Fischer (1 June 1925 – 4 September 2016) was a German pianist and piano professor at the Hochschule für Musik Detmold. Life Born in Lüdenscheid, After the war, Kretschmar-Fischer first studied medicine in Greifswald and then music at what was then the Northwest German Music Academy in Detmold, now the Detmold College of Music. She was trained as a pianist in the master class of Conrad Hansen. She was a scholarship holder for several years at the Music Summer School in Bryanston in England, where Artur Schnabel, Monique Haas, George Enescu, Nadja Boulanger and Igor Stravinsky taught. After her exams, Kretschmar-Fischer gave concerts as a soloist, chamber music partner and song accompanist and was appointed to a professorship for the artistic main subject piano at the Detmold Academy of Music. Hochschule Für Musik Detmold
The Hochschule für Musik Detmold is a university-level music school situated in Detmold, Germany. Academics The Hochschule offers performance degrees in composition, all orchestral instruments, piano, voice, opera, art-song, conducting, as well as degrees in church music and music education. Artistic Music Production (Musik-Tonmeister) is also offered at the Institute. Structure In 2007 there were 594 students matriculated, plus an additional 22 junior students. The Hochschule offers about 300 concerts per year. The present director is Professor Martin Christian Vogel. In 2008 he was re-elected to a further appointment. Associate directors are professors André Stärk and Norbert Stertz. Hans Bertels was appointed chancellor in May 2007. Helmut Kretschmar
Helmut Kretschmar (born 3 February 1928) is a German classical tenor who spent most of his career performing in concerts and recitals with major orchestras and at important music festivals internationally. Although he focused his career mainly within the concert repertoire, Kretschmar did appear two times on the opera stage, notably singing in the world premiere of Arnold Schoenberg's ''Moses und Aron'' in 1954. Possessing a rich and warm lyric tenor voice, Kretschmar excelled in the concert repertoire of Johann Sebastian Bach, George Frideric Handel, Joseph Haydn, and Felix Mendelssohn. Also an admired interpreter of Lieder, Kretschmar performed and recorded a number of works by Franz Schubert, Robert Schumann, and Hugo Wolf. Biography Kretschmar was born in Kleve ( Niederrhein). Volker Banfield (born 9 May 1944, Oberaudorf, Bavaria) is a German classical pianist.Jeremy Siepmann, "Banfield, Volker" in Sadie, Stanley; John Tyrrell, eds. (2001). Lüdenscheid
Lüdenscheid () is a city in the Märkischer Kreis district, in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. It is located in the Sauerland region. Geography Lüdenscheid is located on the saddle of the watershed between the Lenne and Volme rivers which both empty into the Ruhr river (which subsequently flows into the Rhine), with three smaller valleys leading to them. The saddle has a height of 420 meters, higher elevations on the watershed are an unnamed hilltop of 505 meters in the north, and the 663 meters high ''Nordhelle'' in the Ebbe Mountains range. Life Born in Dorsten, Kirschnereit grew up in Namibia and later studied at the Hochschule für Musik Detmold with Renate Kretschmar-Fischer.
